Bang & olufsen Beovision 7- Unable to turn television on When trying to turn the television on using the remote. WAIT appears on the top right side of television.

First, try setting your monitor refresh rate at 60Hz using a known-working monitor. (The VGA input of the Beovision 7 is recommended for 60Hz refresh rate). If this fails to produce output from the Beovision 7, it is very likely, your video driver's resolution is set too high for the Beovision 7 to display signal. If you are using the Beovision 7 as your primary monitor, first connect a known-working monitor to the computer and reduce the resolution to 1024x768. Once you have changed the resolution, try connecting the Beovision 7. If you get video signal, increase the resolution incrementally until you find the maximum resolution the Beovision 7 will handle.

IF YOU ARE USING THE BEOVISION 7 AS A SECONDARY MONITOR USING EXTENDED DESKTOP, reduce the resolution on Monitor 2 output to 1024x768. If video appears on the Beovision 7 at that resolution, incrementally increase the Monitor 2 resolution until you find the maximum resolution the Beovision 7 will accept as a secondary monitor.

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER

You said you have the operating instructions, try this,instead of doing the manual entry of your code, try using the CODE SEARCH method for each one....hope this was helpful.....

You have to look up in the manual which way the two arrows on the underside of the unit are pointing when the CD player is located on the far right. The arrows are screw heads which appear in two holes on the underside. If, for instance, you are playing the unit lying flat on a shelf or table top, if you flip it up and forward to get at the arrows, the two arrows should both be pointing left. If you are mounting it on a wall, it's a different arrow combination. I had the problem you describe and this fixed it for me.

gently open cd player clean laser with a cotton bud and wipe all round laser part and lugs at top and bottom of unit

all dvd problems are resolved by dvd mech. replacement/exchange,see your local dealer
