Turned on the printer and hear a clicking/grinding noise back by the rollers that exit the paper - can not print How to get whatever is jamming movement resolved?

If you remove the Fuser Assembly and look at the black gear to your left, you will find what is call a Swing Plate Assembly. When those gears gets worn it will cause the Fuser gears not to engage properly and cause jamps and loud noise. Some times you can get by replacing just the gear you can see. If you have to remove teh complete assembly, it is quite a chore and shoud be done by a service technician.

Grating noise from paper feed mechanism

Usually the noise is coming from the Swing Plate Assembly. This is an assembly with plastic gears that the fuser rides on and if they loose a tooth, it makes noise

Where can I find a driver for the HL-1250 Laser Printer to install in Windows 7

Use the XP/2000 driver on Windows 7 32bit, it doesn't work with the 64bit OS. If you have the 64bit OS, you can try and install the driver in compatibility mode.

Printed paper is stalling within the output.

That's a common problem on that machine, those rollers at the exit get coated with toner and fuser oil, so they have no grip to pull the paper thru. If you dampen a rag with alcohol and power off the printer, each time you turn it on or close the front door the rollers turn and you hold the damp rag against the exit rollers one at a time to clean them...

Brother 1250. Message on screen shows - fuser malfunction. Alarm light flashes, no lights, followed by all lights

The Fuser is the part inside which gets hot. It will usually be a job for an engineer to replace, however it should try to reset by itself after 10 minutes with the power left on.
If not, switch off, hold down the button and switch on whilst holding the button. This will also reset, but if problem remains the Fuser unit will have to be replaced.

HL-1250 shuts down by itself

Sounds as if this is an overheat or a short circuit. you may require a new laser engine or power supply. Disconnect the laser motor from the power supply and them turn it on. If your led's stay on, it's the laser engine. If not, it's the power supply.

there are two reason behind the problem. 1.drum & 2.Fuser unit.
solution no 1.
In this printer the dram attache with the tonner. at first separate the dram unit from tonner. open the drum and clean the OPC carefully and also clean the blade. and re-assemble the tonner & drum. i think it will work for u.

solution no 2.
