Hi this is Erik, my problem is that my dryer wont heat up it works but it doesnt heat up throws cold air

Your/The heating element needs to be replaced. You can repair it yourself...copy serial number and model type down and order element. Sears, Lowes, and Home Depot carry appliance parts for many names. You will have to order it. Relatively simple job...30-60 min job.

If you are saying this happens on a really cold night, the assumption is that on milder nights, it seems to work adequately.....If that's the case, there is a possibility that it is marginally sized in capacity to heat the space in which it is installed. If it has a "fresh air" damper setting, make sure that is closed completely, because that is air directly from outside the structure that is being brought in through the blower and adds more load to the space and makes the discharge air feel colder.

It is not throwing heat, only cold air

there is a resetable hi litmit fuse located on the side of the heating element can.this can be accessed by taking all the screws of the back panel then look for a small red button on the heating element can push the button in and this should reset the fuse. i hope this helps, let me know

Gas dryer wont heat up, blows only cold air.what would cause this

Could be a bad hi limit thermostat. Could be a bad glowbar ignitor. Check the glowbar ignitor at the gas valve, is it glowing bright orange/red? If not. Replace the ignitor.
