First power on your PS3 , TV , & Router ( if you own the internet connection your going to connect to ) . Then select your User ID upon login . Scroll Left till you hit the Settings Menu , scroll all the way to the bottom & select Network Settings . Now select Internet Connection Settings , select Easy , Wireless , Scan . Now select your Wireless Network from the list that appears , confirm the SSID ( network name ) , & the type of Security Setting ( if you don't know connect a PC to the Wireless Connection & you can see the proper settings there ) , Enter a WPA Key or other type of Encryption if neccesarry , now confirm & test your Connection . It should run through a series of tests from connecting to the network , to a speed test . If all went right you should now be online & ready to game .

Wired nor wireless connections for my ps3 wont work

if you setup your wireless in adhoc mode like useing the pc wirless it wont work because ps3 doesnt see adhoc wireless.

and for the ethernet connection is the pc setup right. you have to enable internet sharing on the accuall interface that has internet..
If local area connection 1 is connected to internet and local area connection 2 is plugged into ps3 then under local area connection 1 settings you have to set share this connection and in the drop down menu select local area connection 2. other than that you need to buy a router.

Can't connect the wireless internet to PS3!! HELP

If you don't want your PS3 connecting to your wireless network, try going to the router control panel, and use the MAC filter to block it from connecting.

PS3 wont connect to internet

Your PS3 should have WiFi built in unless you bought he 20GB version back when it first came out, that is the only one that dosn't have WiFi. But you can still connect it the way you want. You can use any type of ethernet cable, straight through or crossover. You need to go into your network connections in the control panel, select wired and wireless connection at the same time and bridge them. That should do it if you wanna go that route but you would have to have the computer on anytime you wanted to connect your ps3 to the internet. The best bet I think would be to just use the WiFi built into the PS3
