If you're doing Printer Sharing, make sure that your printer is connected to the computer that is on the same Workgroup as your other computers in the network. I hope this helps.
The Lexmark x2600 requires a power cord to operate. Its power supply assembly is contained within the printer, so the power cord plugs directly into the printer.
The 1203 error indicates a short in one of the cartridges. Follow the steps below to fix the problem:
Open the printer cover and remove both cartridges from the carrier
Close the cover
Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it
When the printer turns on, re-insert one cartridge first. Close the cover and check for errors
Then re-insert the other cartridge. Close the cover and check for errors.
Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the new one is faulty.
The power-cord is a "standard" power-cord -- nothing special.
Note the "figure-eight" plastic connector at one end.
So, look around ("thrift" stores, "dollar-or-less" stores, local electrical supply stores, and finally the "big-box" stores like BestBuy) -- it should be less than $5.
Try a couple of steps :-
1.Make sure the wire is plugged in and printer is turned on
2.Go to control panel - printers - make sure the printer is set to default.
