I have a wtw5800swo washer. The washer will complete the wash cycle, but then shuts off and will not enter the rinse cycle.

It's possible that the gears in the timer are stripped at the point where it messes up.

Your problem is going to get worse, really soon. The DC motor on the bottom of the washer needs to be replaced. The windings inside the motor have shorted together and cause it to draw too much power, shutting down the washer. The motor is expensive, home warranty covered mine.

hi thanks for the question make sure both water taps to washer are on check that because if the cold water if off it wont go into rinse cycle thanks the appliance doc

Lid switch
Motor coupler
Belts
Clutch
Drive motor
Drive pulleys
Transmission
Agitator

Hi this could means that you may need to replace the washing machine bearings. Once the bearings are bad, the motor overheats and it will automatically shut down after the first rinse.

what brand washer? if lidswitch is bad most washers will not drain and spin to move to the next cycle
