If one single spot in your fridgerator were getting froozen i would tend to say it would be a sensor but seeing how you have so much ice, there is a small door called the damper door that has a control to it located in the back left corner of the refrigerator this door opens and closes letting the cold air into your frigerator and it opens and closes by a contol that is also located on the ceiling of your refrigerator here is the schematic of the refrigerator side of your machine http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/partsdirect/showSubComp.pd?imageUrl=http%3a%2f%2fc.searspartsdirect.com%2flis_png%2fPLDM%2fG0208726-00007.png part number 453 in this diagram is the thermostat harness also parts 402 would have to be checked as well as 459 its basicly an air flow system and the problem is the door is staying open to long you have to be able to inspect what the door is not doing if either the door is restricted by an ice build up or the control is no longer working if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped when our chat has fully concluded Thanks Rick

No dispensing water...GE refrigerator

There may be an interlock switch on the housing where the filter or dummy stopper is inserted. If this interlock is not satisfied, then the water dispenser won't turn on. This would prevent water from spraying all over the inside of the refrigerator if the filter is not seated properly. Check to make sure the filter or plug is inserted properly.

Water line keeps freezing on my GE side by side refigerator

Check to see if the water tank in the bottom of the refrigerator section is frozen. If it is, you will need to turn the refrigerator section temp down.

Temperature regulation not working (max only), water dispenser not working and ice maker not working although dispenser works

The symtoms sound all to common on GE units. Based on your symtoms I suspect the fresh food area is to cold. The damper assy is controled by the motherboard / thermistors. This damper assy adjusts to control the air movement from the freezer. During its cycling it can snap loose when this happens the air from the freezer is uncontroled. Within a few days the fresh food compartment temps can drop below freezing. The drop in temp also can freeze the water reservoir behind the lower crispers and in some cases the water filter. Altho You may have other issue (i.e. filter, bad fill valve assy, motherboard) the above statement happens 70% of the time. Fresh food damper assy part# WR49X10091 est $135.00.

Refrigerator is freezing food AND broken ice container part.

Just lower it one number at a time , wait 24 hrs each time you re set it until you reach the right temp. 34-40 deg.

Your filter light has not came on most likely because it has not had the time to. You do not need to replace your filter every six months. This is a safe guesstamate from the manufacture , it depends on water quality and use of water , some filters will go years and years , the filter indicator does not even know if the filter is bad.
When you notice water pressure slowing when dispensing from the door you know the filter needs replaced.
Hope this gets you out of that service fee. This should FIX IT!
If you have any questions let me know.

Water Dispenser not working

I removed the water filter overnight and then replaced and reset filter setting over the dispenser. I then waited a little while and then tried the dispenser and water began to flow out normally.

GE GSS25LGM Ice maker not dispensing ice

You have one of three things wrong. The auger motor is frozen up, the ice bucket is broken or you need to dump out any ice, run warm water through the entire ice bucket, dry it out and try again with fresh cubes. My guess is the auger motor is frozen. You can buy a vinyl boot that covers the auger motor to prevent moisture buildup and freezing from GE Parts at 1-800-626-2002
