Which cables do you have?
to be more clear, what are the different colors at the ends of the wires, where the other end fits into the wii
u take these colors, and find them in the back of the tv. ie if its red white yellow, find the red white yellow holes in the back of the tv

I have a Panasonic TH42PX80U Plasma television. The red light is blinking in the interval of 2. What does it mean? How can i fix this problem.

The SC,SD or SU board or all 3 are bad. Isolating these boards will determine if one or all are bad. If you are up to this let me know.

Just bought a 42" panasonic

On your remote, click menu, then setup, then external devices, then input labels. Here is a link for manual:

Panasonic TH42PX80U will not turn on power indicator light blinking

when the power indicator light are blinking, indicate that the TV are in protection mode.
Undo the Back and check for bad caps in the power board, or any blow fuse.

Bought a Wii and using the standard cables it played great on a new 50' Panasonic Plasma as well as on our 2 year old 32' VIZIO LCD. Just upgraded to a 46' Sony LCD (W series) and the Wii looks terrible...

The Wii can display on a HDTV, but keep in mind the output is only 480p. It is not true high definition, and it will only display this using a component video cable. There shouldn't be a difference with LCD and plasma.

You will also need to go to the display settings to force the Wii to display in 480p.

Try a different input (safe to assume your Sony has multiple?) and see if it is that specific input. Also, try a different device like a DVD player or VCR and see if you get the same result.

Good luck.

Panasonic Plasma screen suddenly has a verticle black line

G'Day!

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty, this will cost you nothing. If you're not under warranty the cost will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor. However, be warned that the cost could be considerably higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Connected the Wii to new Panasonic 42 in plasma. Had been working fine on Sony Vega 27 in. Now picture quality is terrible and there is no sound. Checked all TV and Wii settings and unable to fix it.

That's probably down to the AV cable. Have you tried it on another TV to eliminate the TV?How are you connecting? Component or Scart adapter? Tried swapping from one to the other to eliminate any possible issues?
