I have a 2009 50cc peacesport scooter and the handle that gives it gas is cracked to where it just goes round and round so my question is how do I fix it and is it difficult?

Silly question, but are you sure you are getting gas through the line? Could the line from the tank be plugged? How about the tank port?
Is there a fuel shutoff?

Most likely there is something sticking. You seem to be wanting to work on it..buy the manual.. You are on a car site. Not mopeds. I can and do fix them. But you wouldn't pay me the diagnoses to fix yours. Most people don't.

Wrong type of scooter to have here...

Trace the throttle cable from the handle to the(carb or throttle body).Either the cable is broken,it has come off at one end,or the throttle handle or a piece of linkage is broken or loose.(this is a pretty basic problem-you can do it!)

Sounds like the throttle mech has come loose, the lever is normally fixed to a pot with a long stem now if that's moved round it will power it self without any movement?

A small tip here - bigger is better. The large diameter wheels clear gaps in concrete or pavement that would hang up a skate wheel or a scooter with smaller wheels. Most electric scooters also handle well in gravel and small terrain features. We don't recommend slamming electric scooters into a curb to get over it like some people do with their bike. This could result in damage to the electric scooter. Simply Ollie up a curb and keep going.

pull the knob off note the position of the brass gas valve turn the knob 90 degrees see if the position of the brass piece changed the same as knob if not inspect the knob see if its cracked also look on the shaft see if there is a small d shaped metal piece on it if there is it goes up inside the knob let me know what you find will advise from there
