Lamps only last Between 5,000 hours some last 8,000 hours
So what that means For Every hour TV is Playing it is burning up hrs of lamp. These sets are not like projection that you can run day and night .
Most Lamps need replacing every 2 yrs Depending on how many hours you watch TV?
It could be that the Lamp you have is defective ,Mats has Lamps for $99.00 1-800-628-1118
Get New Lamp then see if that corrects the problem.
Inverter run on batteries sir, and if these batteries are not charged, the run time {the number of hours it will work} reduces. S0, you will need to connect the inverter to a power source.Theses will allow your batteries to be charged and enable it to run for a long period of time. Make sure your batteries are still OK.i.e working properly
Trying installing a new power supply. This is the main problem with tv's with the issue. But if you just bought it I would try to get my money back from where I bought it from. Installing a power supply for a tv is not that hard at all.
Well, I have had the same exact problem and since my hlp6163w is still under warranty, I had a technician come out to repair it. And...the winner is a bad ballast. The Ballast has also affected the bulb. So, the answer is you need to change the Ballast and the lamp to get the problem resolved. A faulty Ballast will always destroy a a lamp. Sorry for the bad news as this will cost you a total of $400.00 to replace. It sounds like there is a defect in the ballasts that were made for this particular set and a recall should be made. Hope this helps!
This seems to be associated with the overheating of some component. On my set I need to check that the backlight is set to a low level. On reset it automatically adjusts to a level above maximum and the green screen will appear in a few minutes. I took the back off and that helped some.
I am finding out that these sets have almost the same problems mostly going back to middle power supply broad ck all connections, then try looking for leaky caps.
