Hitachi 51F500 Shuts down during summer months

I have had this TV for 4 years the 2nd year in early spring the TV just shut off. would not power back on. removed the plug for several hours and it worked again for several days thatn the shut happened again. unplugged wait 15 mins plugged it back in and it works this worked for a few years it has now been unplugged all summer long and would not work at all just last week I plugged it back in and it worked great for the day It now will only make a quick power up and shuts down immediately. If I go around and bang on the heat sinks I can get it back on for a limited amount of time. What could be wrong Bad solder?

I have a very big clematis plant which covers a large area. What and when is the best for cutting back.

You need to remember when it flowers,if it flowers at the early part of the year which is group 1 they need to be pruned after flowering, when new growth appears tie in to support and feed. Group 2 flower on last years growth in late spring early summer. Prune before new growth appears in early spring. Group 3 flower in summer + early autumn. Hope that may be of some use.

Toshiba model 35D10 randomly turns itself off. requires unplugging/replugging at wall ooutlet to reset. problem has become more and more frequent.

replace flyback transformer (same type - equivalent will not work ) - this part's work is to supply voltage to TV TUBE - after 4 years ( 4 to 10 years - depending on usage ) this part becomes weak then in top brand TVs automatically TV senses this deffect & well in advance it shuts off TV to protect other components from getting damaged due to this flyback transformer ........... as on now in your case only flyback transformer is deffective - so replace it as early as possible ....... click below link for more details on how to replace it ......

Shut down

if it shuts down but the indicator ON remains , then check the convergence IC , I beleive it starts with part num. STK-392 of something similar, the other option is to check for a DRY SOLDER somewhere around the POWER SUPPLY.hope this helps

HITACHI BIGSCREEN TV MDL 57TWX20B APPROX 4-5 YEARS OLD...TV SHUT DOWN WHILE WATCHING AND WON'T POWER BACK UP

This can be one of two problems. 1: convergence output ic's need to be replaced. 2: The problem is in the power supply, most likely a power diode.

Both problems you will need to take it two a repair shop.

Hitachi 51f500

I would try throwing it in the trash and purchasing a new television. Just a hunch, but I think that would solve your problems. Good luck!

Hitachi 51F500 (Two separate problems?)

My guess is that the sound you heard was that of some High Voltage discharges that could have fed back and damaged some semiconductors including the microprocessor itself. Since it could be a very expensive repair, I would be very tempted to look around for a new HDTV by JVC or Toshiba. Hitachi has slipped a notch or two in recent years according to my experience.
