If you go into Printing preferences before you print, you want to go into the tab that is calle dsomething to the effect of Paper/Quality. Look for the section called Paper Option. Under paper option there should be a part that lets you choose the paper size, there is where you can choose Envelope #10. Make sure also you have the Lexmark Universal Driver installed for this printer.

I am printing 3 5/8 x 6 1/2 envelopes and getting ink smears on left side. Looked inside, everything seems fine. This is a recent problem - what do I do?

Are you getting same problem when you print on regular size paper or this only happens when you print on envelopes?

How to print both return address and to address on ?size 10 envelopes

Open Microsoft Office Word.
Open File > Page Setup > Paper size > Envelope #10 (in Office Word 2003)
or
Open Page Layout > Size > Envelope #10 (in Office Word 2007 / 2010)

Then type the address like usual typing and print it.

I've found website to do this manually, but I'm not sure what the printer is. You can check out in here :

How do i print envelopes

Hello!
Printing envelopes can depend on your computer and the program you're using as well as the printer.

Go into a program on your computer that let's you write and print documents (for instance Microsoft Word).

Look around for an "Envelopes" option. In MS Word, in the bar at the top, go to "Tools", "Letters and Mailings" then "Envelopes and Labels".

Enter the required addresses and look at the "Feed" window at the bottom right to see which direction to put the envelopes in the printer.

Now look for a slot somewhere on the front of the printer, or maybe a place on the top or back that has a picture of an envelope on it. If you don't see anything, refer to your documentation to see where the envelope slot is.

Once everything is in place, click the "Print" button in your software on your computer.

That's all there is to it! If you don't have MS Word, look around on your computer for another word processing program. Most computers come with a simple word processor at least.

Good luck!

LEXMARK X1240 WON'T PRINT ENVELOPES

I was so pissed off that so many on the web had this same problem that I spent many hours trying to get it to work. I am sure that this is not how it is designed to work but my envelopes got printed.First I went under File, Print, Properties to Page Set-up for envelope #10. I also ********** print colour images in black and white which someone else had suggested- although it might not be necessary. I selected quick print but normal should probably work too. I then closed out these two windows. Then under tools, I selected Letters and Mailing, then envelopes and labels, typed in the addresses, went under options and changed the feed from automatic to default tray, which automatically changes the feed method to the 4th one out of 6 which wasn't what I wanted but ignore it. Check off face up. Putting the envelope into the printer was bizarre- it has to be inserted very far into the printer until only 2-3 inches of the envelope stick above the horizontal surface of the printer. It must be inserted into the middle of the paper holder, until it is just 2-3 inches sticking up, and then slide it all the way over to the right where the printer indicates the envelope should be- nice and straight against the right margin. Do not use the movable paper holders that they suggest you swing over to the right to hold your envelope- or printing won't occur for some odd reason. Press O.K. on envelopes and labels and then press print. Good luck- it worked for me.

In this Case take out the Paper from the Paper Feed Tray........ Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer.......... Remove both the Cartridges from the Printer.......... Now take a size 10 Envelope fold it so that it should become like a thin long strip........ Now Insert that Envelope on the left side corner of the Printer and move it from right to left and left to right as fast as u can for about 10 times.......... Now Insert the Ordinary Papers onto the Printer and insert both the catridges and Turn on the Printer....

Printing on a #10 envelope

Go into your Word Document and print from "Tools" then "Letters and Mailings" and click on Envelopes and Labels. Sometime the perimeter isn't defined and it is on there but it's outside the scope of your envelope, especially if the return address isn't in the correct place also. You may even be able to correct it where you are by decreasing the "window" of your typing space, it's just too large.

Printing envelopes

You have to either use the MP Feeder or an Envelope Feeder. When you send the job to the "Manual Envelope" option, it will beep and prompt before each envelope is printed. Same will happen when you use the "Manual Paper" option.

You will have a hard time printing 1000 envelopes. The printer will print a rated engine speeed for the first 6-10...After that, the narrow media sensor will force the printer to slow down and you will proabably get 5-6 envelopes printed per minute.
