If you have just replaced the pc (photoconductor) kit, you also need to reset the pc (photoconductor) counter. Here's the link for instructions on how to reset the page count: http://bit.ly/agYtVo . Or simply press and hold the CANCEL button while the printer is on and the front cover open until all lights are flashing. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

I'm sorry, disregard the resolution I just gave. I was pertaining to a different model of printer.

To reset PC counter on E360dn, first go to Configuration Menu. To enter Config Menu, turn off the printer. Press and hold Check mark and Right Arrow button at the same time while powering on the printer. Release the buttons when Performing Self Test displays. Then choose Reset PC Count and hit Select. That should reset the PC counter.

How do I install a new toner cartridge on a Lexmark E360DN printer

Press the button on the left side (front, near the top) of the printer and lower the front door of the printer. Press the button on the base of the photoconductor kit. (The button is near the middle of the printer below the toner cartridge.) Pull the cartridge out by the handle; it will come towards you. Unwrap the new toner cartridge. Shake the cartridge (or rotate it a few times). Align the rollers on the new cartridge with the arrows on the tracks of the photoconductor unit in the printer. Push the cartridge into the printer in as far as it will go. You will hear a click, indicating that cartridge is fully seated. Close the front door.

You can find the manual for the Lexmark E360DN on the product support page: http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=EN&page=product&userlocale=EN_US&productCode=LEXMARK_E360#2 . Click on the Manuals tab. The HTML version of the manual starts here: http://publications.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/e36x/html/en/index.html . Click on the Replacing Supplies section under Maintaining the printer. This will give you a better idea of where the buttons to open the front door and to release the cartridge from the photoconductor unit. The Maintenance Guide is available as a stand-alone PDF. The directions for replacing the cartridge start on page 5. The direct link to the manual is http://publications.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/e36x/E360_maintenance_guide.pdf . If you look at the PDF of the entire User's Guide, http://publications.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/e36x/v14843601_en.pdf , jump to page 84.

I hope this helps.

Either the printer will stop and not work until you replace it or the print quality will degrade to the point where you get frustrated and replace it.

PC life warning on Lexmark e360dn

You need to change the photo conducter... its the 2nd tray that pulls out under the toner cartridge I think its a green handle same as toner

I need a Lexmark E360dn manual. I replaced the pc kit but the warning message still indicates a problem.

You need to do a Photoconductor RESET:

Turn off printer, press and hold the CHECK MARK and LEFT ARROW buttons down, while turning on printer.

Hold them down until you see the little dots go all across the display.

That should take you into the service mode. The first thing you see should be RESET PC, press CHECK MARK and it should reset, then press the left arrow button until you get to exit.

I replaced the PC kit (have done this many other times) but the Warning message still indicates "Replace PC kit" and my copies are not clear. Don't know what to do.

You need to do a Photoconductor Reset

To do that, turn off printer.

Press and hold down CHECK MARK and RIGHT ARROW, while turning on printer

Keep holding down until you see the CONFIG MENU, if you see READY, do it again.

The first option will be Reset PC cnt, press CHECK MARK.

After it resets, press LEFT ARROW button, this takes you to exit. Press CHECK MARK.
Printer will restart and your error should be cleared.
