Sir, first, what happened before this? Second, have you tried another Working battery? If something happened like you've tried upgrading it to a different firmware and something went wrong like it shutdown or something like that, prolly that's a semi-brick there...I need to know what happened first since the last time it was on good workin' condition...please?

PSP charged all night and will not power on

You're not being clear.
You say "I get nothing"

Do you get a green light? Or no green light?
What if you plug it in? Do you get a green light if it's plugged in with no battery inside?

If you get a green light with the battery in but nothing on the screen, your PSP is bricked.

If the PSP works while plugged in but not with the battery it's either having motherboard problems or the three prongs on the back of the PSP are not making good contact with the battery.

Psp broke

i dont believe this is a bricked issue. it cold be a short on the board or wiring some where inside. this noticable if it works after you lightly tap it like mine. but once it comes on it usally will stay on tapping a briked psp does nothing.

About my psp problem

This is most commonly down to corrupted firmware. This problem is usually referred to as a "Bricked" PSP as it leaves the unit useless.
If you PSP is still under warranty contact your local SONY dealer and they will arrange repair. If not DONT PANIC!

There are a number of people on the web now offering a PSP unbricking service.

Or for the more technically minded of you there is plenty of information available on the web about doing this yourself wit the use of a "Pandorra" battery.

Just Google PSP pandorra battery.

Psp Won't turn on but shows a green light i dont know what to do.

Wait till you know that the PSP is on for sure and press the display button which is right next to the mute button.

If nothing comes up on the screen then its time to send it into the manufacturer or to by a new one .

Power problems

Hi Gohan102,

Open the battery compartment, and remove the battery.  Look at the bottom inside corner for a little square sticker with has marks on it. is it dark or light,  If it is dark, your PSP has come in contact with moisture. I suspect that your PSP has gotten wet or damp.  If the sticker is dark, you need to keep your battery out for about 2 days, and keep the UMD door open and the whole PSP kept in a dry environment.  Try it after 2 days of drying to see if it is recovered. Good luck Gohan....
