Had hard drive wiped and noew dont have wifi drivers and cant install them

You should be able to find them on the site of the manufactuar of the laptop or wifi card. You need to give more information if you want a better answer. What type of computer or laptop is it? What's the brand? maybe then I can provide you a link to the right drivers.

No sound on laptop think it got deleted by mistake . how can i fix this ?

To fix audio problems, you need to find and install the latest drivers that perfectly match your audio device.

1. To find the latest audio drivers, you need to know your PC brand and model, your Windows® operating system, your audio device brand and model, and the current audio driver installed on your PC.

2. After this, you now have to start the laborious, time-consuming, and headache-inducing task of trying to find the most up-to-date audio driver and save it on your PC. And then you need to uninstall your old driver, and install the new driver you found.

3. You need to ensure that this new driver works 100% with your Windows® version and other hardware devices.

Help!

Hi foxy,

If the speakers do not work, check first that audio is not muted, you find audio settings on Control Panel>>Sound and Audio Devices if there is no audio device , that will need that you have to reinstall the drivers.

If your computer is a brand one (eg Dell optiplex 1080, or IBM Activa etc.) then place a request for drivers on the free forum, giving exact model of your computer.

If the computer is no famous brand, or assembled, you will have to note down all the numbers printed on the boards inside the computer.

That is quite complicate, for a regular user it is often faster to buy a new audio card, that start from $10.

A good solution can be buying an external USB audio adapter , that costs $12 : SIIG SoundWave 7.1 Audio Adapter

No sound

It could be the drivers. That's weird that you have no sound at all after Comcast Internet of all things was installed. Do you have any sort of recovery CD(s) for your computer? If so, just pop in the disc and find the audio drivers.

The next best thing I can think of, is to search the brand and model of your PC in a search engine, like Google. I'll give an example: My PC is an eMachines T6534, so I would enter into a search engine "eMachines T6534 audio drivers". You should find what you need in the first few results, if not, put in your Brand/Model followed by 'specs'. This way, you can find detailed info about the MotherBoard your PC uses, so you can enter the name/number (whichevers available, may want to try more than one result), into the search engine followed by 'audio drivers'.

If the results don't show anything about your MotherBoard, you'll have to open up the PC and look for a letter-number combination that's large in size. It could start with a number, but it should be the largers size font there. And, just like above, just enter that followed by 'drivers' or 'audio drivers', and you should be able to find it!

Also, if you're using a seperate card for your audio, the above does apply, just instead of brand/model of pc, it would be brand/model of your audio card :D

Formatted hard disk os xpsp pro, no audio device on device manager

You can goto device manager by right clicking the My Computer icon then select properties command. In the pop up windows select the Hardware tab, there you will find this Device Manager. Right click the sound devices entry and select update driver. When prompted select "Go to web". You will get the required software automatically and your system will sound again to give you the mental peace.
