I brought the compaq C772TU model supported with dos and installed xp, since i undstd that, the model is made to support windows vista, the Audio driver is not working, when i am trying to connect head phone, the audio is not transfering to the head phone and still it is out in Laptop speaker, Please help to get rid out of this, send mail to my mail id [email protected]

I use compaq c772TU laptop with win xp. My headphone and speakers work simultaneously when i plugin the headphone... I know that the problem is with the driver, so does anyone know where I can get the fixed driver??

when i m using headphone in my laptop the sound is coming in both headphone & laptop speakers...........
so what i have to do so that the sound will come in headphone only not in both simultaneously????????????

Hello ANILKUMARBBV,

I will provide you the right solution for this issue. thsi driver is applicable for all the notebook models starting from C765tu.

Just downlod and follow the steps provided to install the audio driver.

First we need to install Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture driver before installing the audio driver:

Here is the link for the UAA driver:

After installing UAA driver restart the notebook and download the following aucio driver, then follow the below procedure.

Audio driver:

After downloading the file please extract the files to a folder on the desktop.
Follow the below steps to install the driver correctly:
　
1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.
3. Select not at this time, click on next and Select "Install from a list or specific location".
4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.
6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse, Choose the location where you have saved the extracted folder.
8. Open the folder and choose the .inf file listed.
9. Ignore any errors you receive and proceed with the installation.

This will resolve your problem.

there are several means to solve such audio driver problem, since many users troubled for the situations, i.e. the audio is out of work after the os reinstallation.luckily, updating audio driver is a good way to solve it. http://www.audio-driver.net/no-sound-aft...

The wireless is not going to turn on and off via the switch properly until we get the drivers loaded to make it work. There are 3 possible types of wireless card it could be, so we have to find out the exact model number of your system. On the bottom there should be a label that has a P/N or part number listed. what are those numbers. Here's an example of the label:

we need the info listed for #1, #2 and #3. Then we should be able to determine which adapter you have, and then we can (hopefully) find some Windows XP drivers for you.
