Be sure the cable is connected correctly red is in the one labeled R and the white is in the L and that the yellow is in the yellow OR green. Then make sure the TV source is set to component/AV. Check the display settings on the PC to be sure it is set for that correct output. Let me know if you need more help.
Usually old motherboard requires a PS2/older type keyboard to be ready connected when booting.. and I think the hardrive is already faulty.. try replace the hardrive IDE cable..
If you have a cable box you need to connect this box to the TV. Find the OUT plug on the cable box and connect it to the corresponding IN plug on the TV. You can use several different connections to do this however they need to be consistent. For example, if the cables on your cable box are Red, White, and Yellow then the connections on your TV should also be Red, White, Yellow. These connections are color coded so you can match them up appropriately. After you have connected the cable box to the TV, you simply need to cycle to the correct input channel. To do this find the Input or Video Source button on your TV remote. Cycle through the inputs until you see/hear a signal.
If you do not have a cable box, simply connect the Coaxial cable to the back of the TV. This cable should screw securely onto the TV. Once you have done that, use the TV remote to change the channels.

try to open an Internet browser and type in 192.168.0.1 on the address bar. It should give you the DLink page. Once you have that configure your connection.
