My 95 camry is loosing coolant , a cup every other days, around 80 miles. I am think adding radiator stop leak. Any suggestion would be appreciate. There are no evident of coolant on the ground and I do not notice any water add to the oil when I check the oil, it seems to be at the same level. I have recently replace the timing belt, water pump. oil pump seal at 147,000 miles.

You could have a pin hole in your hose or in your radiator.

I am thinking that you have a low coolant level in the radiator or blocked core fins on the radiator. The wrench symbol indicates a engine problem and the loss of power would be the limp home mode clicking in to prevent damage to the engine. I suggest you have a coolant system pressure test done to check for leaks and have a flow test done on the radiator to check for blocked cores. Driving around the farm is not stress full enough to demand a good coolant system but the added stress of heavy load high speed on the highway reveals problems in the coolant system /radiator areas.

Google search the codes. Could be a hose.water pump.radiator. heater core leaking.

Hi Heather,it may be your water pump leaking or a radiator hose.Keep water in it,keep a jug in the vehicle,if it's the water pump,then it will leak when it is parked,keep the over flow container full.

The Jaguar XK8 has a coolant hose on the rear of the engine that is prone to leaking. The leak is typically on the right side, right above the catalytic converter. There is a quick disconnect fitting that has an o-ring in it. This O-ring fails with age, and the coolant leaks from the connector.

Normally if oil or transmission fluid mixes with coolant it will turn milky looking like a milkshake. Your leak must be pretty fresh. from your description that it is coming out of the coolant overflow I am thinking you have a radiator transmission cooler leaking into the cooling system.

You will need a new radiator and possibly all the coolant hoses if they have become soft from the transmission fluid.

In most cases if your getting transmission fluid in the radiator it is cause by a bad transmission cooler that is built into the radiator and the fix is to replace the radiator.

The repair will change in price from where the leak is coming from. If the pan is leaking or the rear seal your looking at $100.00 or less. If the front seal is leaking then around $550.00. The most common leak is the pan gasket. Also if the transmission fluid and filter have not been replaced in the last 30,000 miles and the pan is leaking then I suggest doing this also why the pan is off .

- Check if its not only a loose collar on the radiator hoses.
- If the radiator itself leaks, you can add a radiator leak stop. You will found the product at every mechanics shop. It's the most cheap solution.
- If it's a hose that's leaking, you can repair it easily with tube repair patches. But, remove the hose, and rinse it very very very well with clear water, and remove all dirt with ethyl alcohol ( acetone will destroy the rubber )

it probably is leaky head gasket. does it blow white smoke after it warms up?
