If there is grease from fingers on the touch pad, that can cause spurious movement of the mouse pointer.
Clean the touch pad with an almost dry cloth and clean washing up water.

While im typing, my curser skips back into the middle of my sentences, and i have to retype my whole sentence again...what is causing this to happen and how can i fix, thank you

if it is the same thing that happens to me you need to shut off your touchpad (mousepad) when you are typing as your fingers or palms cause the curser to jump if you touch it while typing

HP Optical Mouse Curser jumps around

I respectfully disagree with amusedgeek. He is correct aout the textured surface, though.Optical mice will take snapshots many times a second and reposition the cursor according to where the pattern was last. Rather than a single color, a pattern is your best bet for an optical mouse. The only thing I recommend is to make sure the mousepad isn't reflective at all- no glossy or semi-glossy surface. You want it to be non-reflective. Just to be sure there is nothing wrong with the mouse, you can test it simply by putting it on a newspaper and scrolling around.

When typing on toshiba the curser skip and actually moves

It might be that your palm is brushing across the intel touch pad (mouse pad) as you're typing?.. try holding down the function key (Fn) (on the lower left corner of the keyboard) while pressing F9 (this activates the "Toshiba Flash Cards Menu" and is a keyboard shortcut to toggle off/on the touch/mouse pad. You can turn it back on this way too. I almost always use a conventional USB mouse with my laptop for this reason and because it's faster than fiddling around with the pad, IMHO).

Keyboard curser bounces around

Are you bumping the touch pad while you type? This may be causing the curser to move around. This laptop is known for its sensitive touch pad.
