the ticking sound is coming out from the flyback that is high voltages!!! if you on the unit is there a picture coming out? or sounds coming out from speaker?

1st try this....unplug tv...hold power button for 10 seconds...wait 2 minutes....plug back in, if this doesn't fix it you probably need to replace the lamp
this is a very common problem just unplug tv for 5 minutes it
should fix it . simple fix most of the time with rca and proscan.
If that does not do it go into menu scroll down to audio and then press on .

In my experience, the power supply is not dissipating power to the circuitry. The problem is contained in the power supply, have it checked by a technician.
