I recently purchased a used emerson 19 1/2 in hd tv dvd combo. Love the picture but it did not have a remote. I purchased an RCA universal remote which seems to do fine except that I can't find a way to eject the dvd. While I enjoy IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, I feel that eventually I may wish to watch a different dvd from time to time. Also I can not find a control on the tv itself to perform this function. The tv did not come with a manual. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Marie Patterson

Universal remotes do not always control multifunction devices like you have. Take a look at this website. They have the correct remote for your device.

To see RCA's code list you probably need their website but Emerson is one of several names now owned and built by Funai, who also builds Symphonic & Sylvania.
You might want to try those codes with your set.

TV/VCR BUTTON WORKS FOR MINE

I don't know if you guys even need this advice anymore, as it's 1-2 years late, but if your universal remote has a VCR setting, the Emerson 13" CRT TV/VCR combo I have operates under that mode.
The code I used was 002. These may also work: 278, 184, 479, 000, 121, 211, 037, 043, 061, 208
Remember, program your remote as if you were setting up a VCR (and NOT a TV). For instance, on my GE universal, I hold the "code search" button down until I get a steady light. I hit VCR, and then I entered 002. Works like a charm.

as this was posted to the rca rcu300 remote location and not in a ge section, i am undure of what model your remote is. that being said, you can find a list of all codes the ge remotes support and how to program them by clicking here.
