Your phone may need a new battery, but it could be as easy as cleaning the charging contacts! Look at the little metal wires/pads on the phone and in the charging cradle. If it is not shiny, then clean them. It is safe to use a little rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and rub them until they become shiny.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa! We would sure appreciate a 4 "thumbs-up" rating for this FREE answer. Happy holidays!

I have a 1998 Old Aurora. The car was parked in the driveway for over two months. The parking lights started to flash while the engine was not running. When I unlocked the car, there was a clicking...

I would say that the battery is low from sitting. Some alarm systems have a low voltage indicator that sets off the alarm. The flashing lights and clicking (alarm module) under the dash are indicative of just such a problem. Have the battery charged and consider disconnecting it or you can purchase a solar charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter to keep the battery charged (usually under $30 @ Lowes). However if you remove the battery is may you to lose radio codes etc... I believe the solar charger is the best option at this point. Have someone give it a boost with jumper cables or a charger to stop the flashing and clicking in the interim. Thanks for using Fixya and please post a comment and rate my assistance.

Do i have to use rechargeable batteries?

Yes you do as the batteries are made up in a battery pack with a special connector on the end of the pack that plugs into the phone. That phone sits in a cradle that is also a charger that supplies a constant charge to the batteries in the phone. You must use rechargeable batteries and only the specific one made for your phone.

Brand new battery flashes fault when put in charger

Clean the contacts with a pencil eraser, both on the battery and the charger. Then despite the flashing let the battery sit on the charger for a good 12 hours to see if it will clear. It is possible the battery has gotten too low to charge. In the shop we sometimes have to "jump start" a new battery by placing it on the charger two to three consecutive times for a few hours. If this does not clear the issue, contact the place of purchase and request a replacement. Motorola brand batteries have a one year warranty.

Best regards.

My Asus S6F laptop battery wont charge it sits on the charger and when you unplug it the battery its dead even after leaving it on the charger for a couple of days. I have bought new batteries for it but...

1)Reason:
a.The battery has no voltage.
b.There is problem with charger, as it has no output electric current.
c.Low charging efficiency due to external cause.
2)Solutions:
a.Test whether the charger has voltage and output electric current or not.
b.Check if the charger is well contacted with battery.
c.Activate the battery with voltage and current 1.5 time higher then the highest ones of battery. (Use this method only when the battery can't be charged.)

No power will not charge sccreen flashes white

hello there,
the problem would be that the charger is not sitting properly, therefore it tries to connect but ends up not charging.

try to replace the charhing port of the phone then you can try to charge again. or look for a charger that fits properly.

The low battery message beaps on my phone every couple of days even though I know it has been sitting in the charger securely.Do I need a new rechargeable battery?

Usually this has to do with cells in the rechargeable batteries dying and then not allowing them to hold a charge as long usually requiring you to replace batteries because over time it will get worse and the talk time allowed or off the charger will become less and less

ABS Warning Lights

You have likely moved the ABS sensors when you removed the brake caliper - check that they are sitting in their housing correctly.
The other cause of ABS fault lights on R11's is a low battery, funnily enough - the ABS system is very touchy about it's voltage.
If you think that your battery could be the cause it's an easy check-out - charge it overnight on a battey charger and check the operation in the morning.

The i pod is not showing that it is charging

Since it has been sitting for so long, try doing this: Connect the ipod to your computer and let it sit for about fifteen minutes. Then it should show up in your computer and under itunes. Usually, if your ipod dies completely, when you try to charge it using a wall or car charger, it will do that, just flashing the apple logo and going back off. Leaving it plugged up to the computer will allow the battery to charge just enough so that it can sync with itunes. While it is plugged into the computer and charging, it should say something like, battery very low, charging. It should work after letting it sit plugged up to the computer.
