My GE Cordless phone has two handsets. The remote one says "searching". I had this problem last year and I can't get it to reset.
Can you help?

I have the GE DECT 6.0 28112EE2-A, and found this site to be very helpful: http://www.home-electronics.net/ge/pc/IB/27907GE1_IB.pdf. The instructions for accessing voicemail from an alternate location are on page 68. Works for me!

Good luck,
Mel

SOURCE: Lost manual for DECT 6.0 phone. Hopping to

You can find a users manual at: http://www.uniden.com/index/manuals_results.cfm?cat=1
You will have to know what model it is, usually you can find that out by looking at the bottom of the base, or on the underside of the battery cover, or under the battery.
As for getting the voice mail, if you use your providers voice mail service, usually you have to dial something like *99 or *00. You would have to contact your phone provider and find out what the number is to reach your voice mail.

I have lost my manual and i dont know how to record a personal message on my answering machine and how to enter the code to retrieve my messages from another phone.

From your handset, you just have to press the mute button, your phone should start telling you the time, date, ect. press the #5 key and then the #8 key and start recording your message. When finished press the # 8 key again. Hope this helps

Lost set up instruction manual for GE cordless phone DECT 6.0

You can find manuals for GE cordless phones here. Pick your model from the list. The model number is on the base unit and is a 5-digit number. The page has a link near the top to help you find the number on your phone. (DECT 6.0 is not a model.)

Need instructions to reset time on our GE DECT 6.0 cordless phone

You know how MANY Dect 6.0 cordless phones G.E. makes?

Here is a link to GE, look for the model number on the bottom of the phone.
And search for it, or look at the pictures and click on the picture of your phone... then after that near the middle of the page slightly to the left there is a Bloue Box - Product Instruction Book - English... press this to get your manual.
