This model doesn't have any A/V jacks. Many low-end RCA models didn't include any special features. They can only pick up signals over the antenna input. What you'll need to connect your DVD player is an RF converter, which takes the audio and video signals from the player and turns them into a channel 3 or 4 TV signal that the set can pick up.

RF converters aren't hard to find. Radio Shack, Sears and Wal-Mart all say they sell them, and you can certainly find them online. Hooking one up is just a matter of connecting the necessary cable to the player and TV, connecting the converter power and setting the output channel. Then put the TV on that channel and you're set. Unfortunately, this will give you lower picture and sound quality than you get from a TV that allows direct A/V inputs, but it's the only option.

SOURCE: Where are jacks to hook up dvd

Hi, I downloaded the manual for this TV to make sure of its connectivity. The only connection the TV has is a coaxial connection for ant/cable which will accommodate cable, antenna, VCR, DTV. It does not accommodate sources without coaxial outputs such as most DVD players. However, there is a solution. Radio Shack, Best Buy, WalMart etc, all carry a device called an RF modulator that will convert the A/V outs from the DVD to coaxial. Here are a few links below of the device you will need to get you up and running.

SOURCE: have no remote trying to hook my dvd player to tv

Try the channel buttons and go below channel 2 or above 125 that`s usually where you will find the video input. Hope this will help.

Assuming you are connected via AV Jacks ( yellow whit and red rca cables) your TV needs to be on the corresponding AV input. Usually accessed via the input button on the remote

Need to hook up to tv

use the colored lead (RC) cables to connect from dvd player to your tv, it is color coded so you cant go wrong, then select av on the tv to watch dvd, if it can connect to tv with rc cable then you will need an adapter to connect dvd through antenna jack ok

Cant get color picture when playing DVD's

I too had the same problem. On the Vzio there are AV plug ins on the left side (not the back, but the left side). Use these jacks when connecting to the DVD player and choose the AV button on the TV remote. Viola!

I cant figure out how to run it through my dvd player

You should not be able to, the Wii has a mini disc player and is not compatible with any DVD player. The DVD player should have two plugs on it, one to the wall input and one with yellow and red input jacks if you don't have a AV in-put out-put connection on your TV then you need a adapter for to TV for the DVD player.

Problems hooking it to the television

The colored jacks match up to the jacks on tv. Tv must be turned to AV channel, Or input channel. The ports they are plugged into should have a channel printed by them.
If you are hooking it up through a VCR it is the same. Whatever it is hooked up to has to be on the right channel.
Channels are usually: AV or Input

How to hook up vhs to dvd to tv.I dont have any instructions books vhs is old type VR6548/75L

Does your VHS have av jacks on it?
If so, connect the av jacks (red, yellow, white) from the output of the VCR to the input of the DVD and then from the output of the DVD to the input on the TV.
This will only work if you have input on the DVD. Recordable DVD players do, but a lot of the older ones don't.
Good Luck.
