I have the SB313 Spongebob TV with SB329 Spongebob DVD Player. DVD player is hooked up to the TV with RCA cables (audio/video jacks in the back of the TV). In order to switch from TV to DVD, all you had to do was press the AV IN button on the TV remove. The connections are all the same, but now when I press the AV IN button, I get a blue screen tuning to AV1, press the AV IN button again, tunes to AV2. Neither of them shows the DVD player. I tried connecting the RCA cables to the audio/video jacks in the front of the TV...that didn't work either.
Also, a cool little picture of Spongebob used to come up when switching to DVD, and that hasn't come up either. I can't find an option on the menu to deal with AV. Please help!!!!

Your Emerson Sponge Bob's model will be SB350. It is a TV/DVD combo, with two AV inputs too. You ahve to see only DVD player with it as you says. You can change its mode to eiter TV/AV or DVD/TV by its remote control buttons. Press the DVD/TV mode button on the remote control to chage the modes to TV or DVD. On DVD mode, you can play DVDs with it. I thinks that you have its user manual with you now. Go to its pate where there is illustrations for which button on the remote control handset should be pressed to select this. If you haven't its user manual with you, send your email address to me by FixYa comment box. I'll send a copy you the user manual to you by return mail. OK.
Hi, Hook audio/ video cable from dvd player to AV input of tv and select that AV input in tv to watch dvd playback picture. You will see yellow jack (for video signal output) and red-white jacks (for audio left-right output signal) at rear of dvd player, plug AV Cable and hook it in AV input of tv, make sure yellow pin connected in yellow jacks of dvd and tv. Thanks.
This television has front and back rca jacks. Those are the yellow red and white holes. You would get an rca cable and connect it between this television and the dvd player. Then you would have to change av inputs on the television's remote to access the DVD player's signal.
Sounds like your TV has lost the DVD channel. Turn off TV and make sure the DVD player is connected to TV and is playing a DVD. Now put you TV on and press the SOURCE or AV button on your TV remote until you can see the DVD channel. In older TVs you may need select channel and tune it manually using the TV setup.
hey 1st of all you gotta make sure that your son made tha right connections with the av cable (this is the cable with three different coloured pins) from your DVD to your tv. if this doesnt solve your problem then make sure you are using the correct av channel on your tv set that will allow you 2 play your DVD player because sometimes you cant play your DVD on thhe same av cannel you watch normal tv
You can only have one item plugged in to the ave jack at one time. Seems silly for a tv with two sets of av ins, but i ran in to the same problem and this works. Just unplug the dvd player or the game console.
why can't I get this tv and a new dvd player to work right, The video comes on but sound.. Tv is also hooked to satelite. IS there a vertain HDM1 cable I should be using
