I have GE profile fridge. Model # TBX22PCSMRAA. I am having a problem getting the ice dispenser to work. The freezer makes ice. When i looked at it at first, the wiring harness was disconnected at the door hinge on top of the freezer. I plugged it in and no change found. I took a volt reading and the pink wire had 120v on it and the others had nothing. If you have any clues, they would be much appreciated.

Hi!!
If your unit was unplugged, make sure is turned on and the green light is on and the water supply valve is open, you have to wait 24Hrs. for the first batch of ice. You can perform a test to check ice maker functionality. Click below to watch a video on how to perform this test.

My ge profile arctica fridge is reading about 42 degrees, but the freezer side is working fine . Its about 5 years old, a tech took a look at it and said the fans and fuses looked fine... any ideas?

u probably are starting to get an ice up behind the freezer compartment or your fan has stopped blowing the air into the freezer first thing is to make sure the fan is blowing the cold air into the fridge side if not then there is your problem if you do feel the fan blowing then you would have to carefully remove the rear panel and check in the areas that have willcall them holes tat go into your fridge if they have ice built up inside of them if they do have ice then you have a defrost problem and would have to be aqble to perfom a continuity test on the deforst thermostat and the defrost heater if both of these are fine the next thing that you would look at would be your defrost timer check for the air and the ice and if you stillhavent found the problem write back hope this helps

Not getting any water out of the dispenser, but its making ice

The water dispenser on my GE profile fridge stopped working for a couple days. The refrigerator and freezer temperatures have fluctuated over the past several months causing fridge items to periodically freeze and freezer items to periodically thaw. GE tech came today identified a bad circuit board, which he replaced for a cool $300. Ouch. Fridge is only three years old. Oh yeah, the icemaker also has a broken tab which causes it to jam every couple weeks. We have GE Profile appliances throughout our kitchen and they all work great except for the fridge :-( I hope GE engineers read this post. If so, get to work! LOL

My fridge keeps freezing my food

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.
