I have lots of tools that got rusty in the garage. Very rusty and I am afraid using the chem. and getting it on me. And don't really know what works well. I tried sanding and coke and such. tools are so rusty that what I tried won't help at all. Do I toss them or what?

There are lots of models of degreasing sprays and cleaners that are available in the market whicch can be used to clean the tools, You can spray them and keep aside, then clean and repeat the prrocess till all the rust is taken out.
Use of WD40 is also very good to clean and get them to work.

Rusty gas filter

You could do these yourself. But, you would need a good mechanical knowledge and a decent tool kit. The most difficult of these is the ball joints. Just because they are always fiddly. The fuel filter is either screw on or plug in. and the sway bar is dirty and awkward. Ideally you would use a car lift to do these jobs.

When i start the motor it has a rough idle

Buy 'CHEM TOOL' at your local walmart and start using it until the problem stops. Then use it every 3rd full tank of gasoline. If the car has lots of miles on it, change the spark plugs. Good luck.

How to deal with a difficult customer

Hi.

I know that customers can be difficult, but dealing with them can be an easy thing , really.

First, know that the customer is ALWAYS right, even if they are as wrong as wrong can be.

Now, to ease their frustrations, talk to them in a calm a reassuring manner.

Sometimes, they are difficult because they have been treated poorly in the past, and are expecting the worse.

Just be nice to the customer, and a vast majority of the time, things work out just fine.

Don't be afraid of them, they are just as nervous as you are about confrontation, regardless of how they might act.

Also, don't be afraid to admit to them that you don't have the answers they want, but also let them know that you will consult with your fellow workers to see if you can resolve the issues.

I hope this helps you out some.

Good luck to you, and have a good day.

Is there not a radiator cap on a 1999 silverado? want to flush sysyem but do you refill through resavoir?

If you don't see a cap, you don't have one. If you are flushing in hopes of correcting an overheating problem, be aware that if the radiator is partially obstructed, the flush chems sold today are too mild to actually do much. The better chems were all banned by the epa.
If you are just doing routine maintenance, easiest method of draining is to remove the lower hose at the radiator, let the system drain, put the hose back on, fill with water and any chems you want to use, run it as per instructions, drain again, fill with more water and repeat with water at least twice before draining and filling with new antifreeze.(do all flushing with heater on full heat) Keep the cap off while doing this so you don't build up pressure and be careful draining hot water. Even though they are mild for the job, chems can still irritate your skin so be careful. When filling for the final time, make sure the system is full and the thermostat has opened before closing it up. Always check everything over for leaks.Any other questions? Just ask!!

I have a 91 toyota mr2 which need to change the clutch line from clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder. Where can i get the aftermarket parts? or i can just replace the rusty part, but where can i get...

I hate this particular project. Yes, you need metric ends at least. The problem of course is that auto parts stores don't carry long lines with metric ends. I ended up getting a "pipe flaring tool" so that I could put my own metric ends on the standard pipe. I then bought a short 7" metric line from a parts store, and cut it to use the ends on new standard size line. You will either want to get a nice one on loan from a friend or take the car to a shop. The cheap $30 tool I bought at one of the big auto parts stores didn't even work correctly out of the box. Ended up buying a $150-200 one that works great! Still a lot of work and expense if you are doing it yourself. The line is hard to get to once it gets up to the front of the car, so cutting out the bad rusty part and putting ends on is the easier do-it-yourself project - if you have the brake line flare tool. I would take it to a shop. Good luck!

The rear hatch (door)on my 1996 jeep cherokee wont open. How does the latch assembly work. Can I get a skematic and if so where

Only way in there I know of is to tear up the inner liner to gain access. Then you can usually reach in there and move the mechanism. Lots of those get that way because for some reason they aren't sealed well and get really rusty. Good part is that there are usually lots of liners available in scrapyards fairly inexpensive!

Setup networking between two lan via isdn connection

This can be done using cisco routers with an isdn port on each. I'm a bit rusty on this, but could look up the details if you want. Don't be too afraid of the costs, as you can get the right boxes off ebay quite cheaply if you really want to do it. Maybe there's another way I don't know about..
