I forgot the username and password for my wireless router and i'm not sure how to reset my device

If you forgot password of your router..Do not worry...

Press tiny reset button on the back of you router..It will restore all configuration to factory default mode...

the default username is admin & password is bank (no password)..

You will want to try

If these dont work you will want to reset the router back to defaults.

Use the reset button on the back of the router. Hold the button down until the router resets and then re setup the router. You may need to unplug the router from the LAN and wall. Hold the reset button down and plug the power cord back in. Continue holding the reset button and let go after a few seconds. Plug the internet cord back in and re setup.

The default configuration for D-Link devices is access through IP address 192.168.0.1

The default user name is "Admin". The default password is blank.

The hard solution is to reset the unit to factory defaults. Hold the reset button, on the back of the device, for 30 seconds. WARNING! This will reset everything on the unit. However, the password will be reset to the original, "admin". To access the unit after reset, in a web browser connected to this device, enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Login using 'admin' as the password, with no username. Be sure to re-establish all security settings fairly soon!

well if you forgot the username and password then reset the router for 20-30 secs pushing the reset button. powercycle the router for 10 secs. then open the router page>
-- http://192.168.1.1 or http://www.routerlogin.com or http://10.0.0.1
-- username and password is " admin" and "password"
-- Left side click on Setup Wizard
-- Apply basic settings
-- go to wireless settings
-- change ur wireless settings according to ur need
-- and apply all the settings.
and try to connect all the wireless computers

If you forgot your wireless password you can log into the web interface and click wireless, then wireless security. If you forgot the router password, the best solution, and this goes for all routers is to locate the reset button (usually a small pin hole on the back of the router). Unplug the router from the power supply and press and hold in the reset button with a paperclip or pen tip. While holding the reset button, plug the power back into the rear of the router and continue holding for 10-15 seconds then release. This ensures that the router is reset to factory defaults and then you can login with default username and password. Hint: usually admin is the username and the password is left blank.

You have to find the router's IP address and log into the router. It would be something like 172.0.0.x. Since you forgot the router password, your going to have to press the reset button on the router itself to reset the router to factory settings. Check the user manual if you don't know where the reset button is. After that, your going to have to reset the password on the router. The usual default router username and password are "user" for username and "password" for the password. Make sure you make a more secure username and password for the router log in and router wireless security. If you need more help, write me back.

As an initial info try to do a hard reset on the unit, this process will restore the system into a original settings. you can find the reset switch on either on the left of right sight of your router.
