Select Auto for page size. The scanning software displays scanned image in many options, including 'fit'. Choose 'fit' so that you see complete image.

Try reinstalling the driver first. If that does not work, the issue is with the scanning hardware, which will have to be calibrated. Try doing a calibration of your scanner from the tool box first. If that doesnt work either, then it is definitely scanner hardware defect.

If your all in one is under warranty, I'd recommend you contact the point of sale of the manufacturer. Unfortunately, if your warranty has run out, you will either have to get it serviced or buy a new machine (whichever works out cheaper)

Firstly, the machine must be connected to a pc or network. Secondly, you must scan the document to a pc so, after you have switched on, as you have, the scanner so that it says 'online' you will need to go to the pc and 'PULL' the document to the pc from the scanner. However, to do this you will need to have installed NETWORK SCAN GEAR on your PC inorder to SCAN. When you install the software, you will need to DISCOVER the scanner before it will be ready for use. So, a recap:

1. You NEED a program called NETWORK SCAN GEAR on your PC
2 Your ir2230 must be connected to a PC or network
3 You need to DISCOVER your ir2230 from your PC
4 You then need to INSERT picture FROM SCANNER and select your ir2230 from within a program such as WORD using NETWORK SCAN GEAR

hey try to crop it, once the scan image is been previewed the sides of the scanned image can be resize, try to resize it by using your mouse.

On the device you want to chose the SCAN option and set it to ONLINE.
You then need an application that does TWAIN scanning and aquire image data. Set your scanner device yo "Canon Color Network Scangear".
A freeware product you can use to test is irfanview
You would otherwise need to do an aquire / TWAIN scan from MS Word or Adobe Acrobat (full/pro) or another software that does TWAIN scanning.

you need to down load the network scan gear tool www.imagerunner.com support downloads office /production then look for canon network utilities... down load scan gear tool [ not color}this file will have to be unzipped then run it... this will set a program in your program files open the one that says scan gear tool when opens either type in the device ip adress or you can select discover. once you do this you select it as the scanner in your scanning software Adobe Pro etc. you also must select scan on the copier then online before scan will happen

If possible, try it on another computer. If the symptom is the same, then the scanner requires service.
