I have an LG WM2277HW washer, and just started getting a "PF" error code. When I powered it up, it would act normal, but after starting a cycle, it would spin for just a couple of seconds, then turn off. When I turned it back on, the "PF" code was displayed. LG tech had me try something, now the washer won't even power on. Any ideas?

As LG states in troubleshooting section,
If your unit is displaying a "PF" error code, it means you've experienced a power failure. This may occur if the power supply to the washing machine is interrupted during a cycle from a power outage. To fix this, simply restart the washing cycle

Press POWER to turn the washer off.

Unplug the washer from the power outlet or turn the circuit breaker to the unit off.

With the power disabled, press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.

Plug the washer back in, or turn the circuit breaker back on.


Suggest you test the wall receptacle with some other known good appliance e.g. vacuum cleaner.

Power Failure. There is a bad power connection or a bad control board.

pf is an indicator for power falier check your power supply to your washer or try another power point

PF - Power Failure - PF error code indicates a power failure during the washer's cycle.
Press and HOLD start to continue the cycle, or press off/pause to clear display.

PF simply means there was a power failure since the last time you used the machine.
To clear it - simply power cycle it.

No error code like PF Some times unplug for 2 hours.to 6hours for it to reset.

PF means Power Failure!
Unplug both units for 10 minutes, then plug them back in and try operating them. You may need an electrician to investigate why you are losing power to both units
