RE : Xerox Work Centre M128 016-782

Hello experts

I have a problem at work with my Xerox Work Centre M128 when I try to scan into a specific folder.

The error code is 016- 782

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks

Rika .

There is an error in the in the server password or a template setting.
Here is the documentation. Pretty straight forward

Login to the Server was not possible during Scan to Server file transfer.
Initial Action Refer to BSD 16.1.
Power OFF/ON
Procedure Set the login name and password in the destination server.
Set the attributes of the Job Template file correctly.
From a client PC, set the same account as the above as a resource using CW.

Rika :

Hi

Thanks for answering so quickly
But I am no expert and I found your instruction very difficult for me.
Can you add more guide lines with no keywords (like BSD /…)
Did u add any documents to your post? My browser cant display any of that .\
Can I get the documents in links ??

So my problem is this – I need to scan to folder (SMB something???) .
I create a special user for the scanner machine with administrator authorization .
I create a folder on the server with authorization for everyone and the scanner user .
When I press "scan to SMB " on the machine and I fill all the fields that required then I press
start and I get the error code : 016-782
thanks a lot .

Setting up a scanning template using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) will fail if the user login name is a domain user, for example, ADSdomain\testadmin.

  1. Open an Internet web browser.
  2. Enter the IP Address of the machine in the Address field, and then press [Enter] on the keyboard. The CWIS home page will be displayed.
  3. Click on the [Services] tab.
  4. Click on the [Job Templates] link.
  5. Click on the [Display Job Templates Screen] button. The Device Template window will be displayed.
  6. Click on the [File Repository Setup] radio button. The File Repository Setup window will be displayed.
  7. Select the required File Repository from the File Repository Setup pull-down menu.
  8. Enter a username that only exists on the SMB server in the Login Name field.
  9. Click on the [Apply] button. A 'Settings have been updated' message will be displayed.
  10. Click on the [Back] button. The File Repository Setup window will be displayed.
  11. Click on the [Template] radio button. The Device Template window will be displayed.
  12. Click on the [Create New] button, and then setup the template again.
  13. Click on the [X] in the upper, right corner to close the Internet browser window and return to the desktop.

Xerox wide format 6705. How can I enable colour scanning option?

First, make sure your Xerox 6705 is able to do color scans. It needs to have the color board and page memory for IIT for full-color or 256 level gray scale scanning. Then from the Services Home screen, begin the process to scan any document (choosing destination: store to folder, scan to PC, etc.). Then specify the save destination or address. Then, if your Xerox 6705 supports color scans, there should be a color button that you press to get to the page to set the other scan features before loading the document to scan.

For more on scanning, see Chapter 3 of the user's guide available from the documentation tab on the Xerox wide format 6705 support page: https://www.support.xerox.com/en-us/product/xerox-6705/downloads . The current link to the user guide is https://download.support.xerox.com/pub/docs/WF_6705/userdocs/any-os/en_GB/WF6705_UG_final_August_2015e.pdf . Section 3.3 and 3.7.3 are specifically on color scanning.

I hope this helps.

Scanned image cannot be transferred via network to vista notebook

Usually a firewall issue. I set-up 10-20 Xerox scanners per week and Vista is almost always a problem. Check Windows Firewall, and any other software firewalls you may have. Generally, once you find the firewall and create an exception rule, it will work. I have found ATT and AOL firewalls that had to be discovered by checking the ADD Remove programs in control panel to find them.

I can not scan in xerox pe 220

I found the solution today. First you go to Autralia Fuji Xerox website at http://www.fujixeroxprinters.com.au then select Driver - Xerox WorkCentre PE220. Download the Control Centre and Scan to PC together with WHQL_PE220_2K_Vista_SCAN (scan Driver) and WHQL_PE220_2K_Vista_GDI.zip (GDI Driver). Setup files are in Control Centre and Scan to PC folder. The rest will pop up new hardware found and browse to two other files dor perfect driver.

Hope this help because it's help me today. Thanks to Miss Chin from Pineaple Computer Store One Utama Malaysia.
