Xerox WorkCentre XD102 Printer Questions & Answers
Hi,
I have a Workcenter XD102.
J2 error for Workcenter XD102 indicates a Drum Cartridge Problem sensed by the main PWB indicating that the Drum cartridge had reached its end of life. You may replace the Drum cartridge with a brand new Drum Cartridge. This should fix the problem.
If you believe that its not the Drum cartridge with or without replacing the Drum cartridge, you may try to open the printer, make a good clean and perform the below.
1. Check the PWB and Drum Cartridge Reset Circuit for any loose connection and short circuit. You may re-seat the cables and terminations and test.
2. If that didn't work you might need to get some voltage from the Drum Cartridge Reset Circuit as per below.
2a. If voltage is more than 0.5 VDC measured between PJ CN116-2 and GND then you need to replace the Drum Cartridge Reset Switch PL x.x.
2b. If voltage is less than 0.5 VDC measured between PJ CN116-2 and GND then actuate the Drum cartridge Reset Switch. Then check the voltage if its +5 VDC measured between PJ CN116-2
and GND.
i. If not then replace the Drum Cartridge Reset Switch PL 5..
ii. Else it should be fine.
iii. If not then replace the Main PWB, PL 7.1.
XD102 paper does not feed and printer buzzes
Hello there you may not see any thing jammed put worth a go.
this may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Hi,
I don't know why it is, but, so many of the printer problems I answer have to do with original install cd being corrupted(it may have to with mass production process) anyway, you can try this:
Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop. Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done

How Do I Reset Counters of Xerox Workcentre 7435 Toner Chips ?
You can't. It is hard wired in programmed memory. The reason is because most Xerox printed are supplied on a consumables deal where you have to buy toner direct at a slightly inflated price to cover the lowered lease cost of the machine. These machine also 'phone home' for interrogation..
Error code 116-323 in xerox 250
error code 116-323 on a Xerox WorkCentre 250 series printer typically indicates a problem with the Transfer Belt Unit. This unit is responsible for transferring the toner from the imaging drum onto the paper during the printing process. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
- Power Cycle: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a minute or two, then plug it back in and turn it on. Power cycling can sometimes clear temporary errors.
- Check Transfer Belt: Open the printer's front cover and locate the Transfer Belt Unit. Ensure that the Transfer Belt is installed correctly and that there are no visible signs of damage or obstruction.
- Clean the Transfer Belt: Dust and toner particles can accumulate on the Transfer Belt, affecting its performance. Gently clean the Transfer Belt with a soft, lint-free cloth or a cleaning pad designed for this purpose.
- Reset Printer: Some printers have a reset option or a combination of buttons to clear error codes. Refer to the printer's user manual or Xerox's support documentation for instructions on how to reset the printer.
- Update Firmware (if applicable): Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Xerox WorkCentre 250 printer. Updating the firmware might address known issues and improve printer performance.
- Check Consumables: Verify that all consumables, including toner cartridges and imaging drums, are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace any depleted consumables with new, genuine Xerox supplies.
- Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path that might be causing the error
