It is possible that you may need to download an upgrade to a flash drive and then with the tv off, insert the flash drive into the usb port on the tv. Turn the tv on and it will load itself. Check Philips website for updates...

How to fix AOC LCD TV random vertical coloured lines, no response to controls

Sounds like a screen fault. The adhesive that attaches ribbon cables from the drive electronics to the screen has failed. Unfortnately this isn't fixable because the connection and spacing is too fine to get a 100% reliable connection. Some DIYers have used neoprene rubber tubing as wedges to hold the connections in place. That actually works. Search Youtube

Vertical coloured lines no picture then after half an hour picture comes on.any ideas.

The tv board that called the T-CON it is dying for the tv to causes these problems for the tv colors vetical lines to show up by itself?Yes?If no this tv problems are causes by u or an objects by outer forces like hitting the tv LCD screen panel itself?Yes?Than the tv LCD scren panel itself it is dead and slowly leaking radiations chemicals.Than this tv is not worth repairing, because by replacing the whole tv LCD screen panel are not practical, because a new tv LCD screen panel will cost the same as a new tv.This tv T-CON board sit in the middle at the bottom of the tv LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a new refurbish T-CON board for the replacement.

Philips Magnavox 20MS3442/17 Green Line

If this is a tube type or crt type. Your vertical circuit has a problem. Could be the vertical IC loose connection on its board. Or the vertical ic itself is faulty. If just resoldering or refluxing of its pins doesn't help check some minor cmponent within vertical circuit. Or the vertical ic is defective already.

If your not inclined on electronics never do the repair itself, nasty voltages might caught you.

Vertical line in the middle

not the picture tube; vertical failure. Vertical IC and probably capacitor that caused it to faill. In some cases just resoldering veritical IC pin connections
