2001 Town and Country 3.8l LXi When I open the each the passenger or driver side doors the alarm will go off..wont stop until i start the car. Does not happen when the doors are opened with the key flop. Seems to do it with any of the keys we have for the car. Does not occur when I use the key to pen the back hatch. One note,,this has started to happen more and more often..but not always.

The door does not have a key reccognition system, only the ignition,
so if you use the key, without first disabling the alarm, the alarm will go off,SO use the remote to unlock the car and the key to start it....no problem....

Security alarm on so car won't start

24,
Try locking/unlocking the passenger door with the key into the door lock to reset the alarm system. If the passenger side doesn't work, then try the driver side. Good luck.

I have a van and wont start

If it is an aftermarket alarm try this. Disconnect the battery. Put the ignition to run, reconnect the battery, and it should start. After it is running, finding the valet switch. Usually a small black button on the driver side panels. Push it and the alarm should sit in valet.
