1080p refers to the resolution you get when watching television. When you're using the TV as a computer monitor a different resolution scale applies. In other words, television resolution and computer resolution are measured differently.

Not an expert on this model but generally if you switch the TV on by pressing the remote's power button it will come back using the input you previously used. If you press a channel button it will come back to DTV.

Possible that the microprocessor is not working , possible that the fault rotates around the processor, could be the crystal oscillator.
If so the panel or the functions will not work and a confirmed status of the processor must be determined.

Why will my plasma tv not turn on? red light (stand by mode) blinks 5 times then nothing. sometimes takes 5 or 6 or more times to turn off. took off back no visibly blown capacitors

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Lcd32f 1080p

There is only one possibility of noise [high-frequency] to LCD TVs. It should be coming from its back-light inverter board. The ferrite cores of the inverter transformers at the back-light inverter board can make this noise; if there is any loose fittings. Check it.

Any ideas ?

Remove the power plug and put back after 5 minutes. Go to User manual and check for TV button to restore settings to factory default. If nothing works, you need to go back to service center.
