Printer cycles looking for paper, then gives false error msg Load Paper in Device. I have turned it on and off, and reset to factory default using #3. Immediately after reset it sent a blank page through, printed second page of 2 page job, then cycled looking for paper and went to error msg. After that it just cycles.

SOURCE: False Paper Jam Error

Make sure the paper tray guides are set against the paper more likely to be the back guide not pushing the paper to the front of the tray. If you have the guides set correctly then place one sheet of paper in the tray and blot some methylated spirits on the leading edge along the page width and close the tray and try printing something.

You will have a jam repeat process 3 or 4 times then open tray and remove paper. Where you soaked the spirits into the paper there should be a grubby mark where the feed roller has rubbed and cleaned. Wipe the tray dry and put fresh paper in then hopefully you will now be able to print. If you cannot then the likely thing is that the paper feed pickup spindle is broken and will need replacing.

Hope this helps you and please rate me

SOURCE: HP LaserJet 3550 spits out blank paper when job sent from computer but prints fine when printing directly from printer

Try connecting the printer via the USB port on either one of the computers. Then test if the machine prints fine then likely possibility is that the Network interface card is faulty remove the network card and install in a different slot and test. If the same thing happens then reinstall the drivers and test.

Hope this helps
Thanks J

SOURCE: My LaserJet4250n Printer keeps printing a page

I think what is happening is when you get the error, the printer automaticaly reprints the page it was on when it got an error condition that makes it think it didn't print the page correctly. The clearing paper path message comes up after it thinks it had a jam. Displaying load plain paper could be because either the printer is not configed for the correct type of paper you have in the tray you are trying to prin form(push the green check button, arrow downt to paper handling and see what your trays are set for.) Also there is a blue switch on the tay(looking for front of tray it will be on the right hand side of tray rail) the switch says standard or custom. The switch should be in the standard position.
Are you getting any errors or jams, if so, tell me what they are.

SOURCE: HP 4200 printer paper jam. No paper is jammed

check this out....when the printer reports the jam, open the paper tray very carefully and slowly.

Has the paper moved at all forward? Has it moved like 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch out of the tray?

If so, you probabaly need a torque limiter, no tools, $10 or so and a very very easy fix.

POBCM is very correct when he points out that the block/stop in the back of the tray moves when the tray is closed with too much force and this is the #1 cause most of the time.

You may see a "41.3" code displayed if the block is not up to the back of the paper and the paper is not all the way forward in the trays, and under the two metal clips at the front of the tray.

Ricoh MP C4000 Always Paper Jam.

1) The user will face paper jam issue with the Ricoh MP C4000 printer when the paper gets stuck inside the roller. The device will also display a paper jam error even when there is no real paper jam inside.

2) Taking our troubleshooting steps into consideration, it wouldn't take much time to solve this problem. Detach the printer's power cable and any other cables. Open the tray lid and the paper feed roller and check for any bits carefully.

3) Get a bright flashlight to check inside the device. A small scrap of paper can cause problem.

4) Use a cloth or brush to clear out any dust or debris stuck inside the roller. If you have done all the steps above and still didn't get it resolved, then try performing a factory reset.

5) A factory reset resets all your printer settings back to default. A factory reset may require you to reconfigure the device if you have changed any of the default settings.

6) If there is nothing stuck inside the device, check if there is any physical damage to the printer. Damages can include bent metal, lose or broken wire, damaged input tray, etc,.

7) You can refer the user manual that is provided along with the printer package to learn how to feed the paper and what to do when you face one.

I have a HP LaserJet 1312nfi that is giving me a FALSE paper jam message. I repeat - FALSE PAPER JAM IN BACK DOOR. False false false. I have uninstalled it on my computer and nothing. I have opened it...

Hello Chris! Welcome to FixYa!

If you are facing False Paper Jam error in your HP Laser Jet 1312nfi but If you cant see any obvious paper jams, try to look closely into the rollers or the inside. There could be some tiny paper shreds stuck within those rollers. Or there could be a tiny piece of paper blocking the printer's sensor and thus giving you a false paper jam error.
The rollers should be cleaned if the paper fails to feed smoothly into the unit. All document and media rollers should be cleaned using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water.

1. Turn Off the printer and unplugged power before cleaning the rollers. This will allow the rollers to be turned by hand in most cases.
2. Remove the rear access door to access the rollers. Clean any dust and debris from the rollers.
3. Open the back of the printer and check metal paper rollers (not the rubber rollers) in the interior of the printer. They should be clean and move freely. If these are not bright and shinny or have buildup on them, they should be cleaned. Also clean any dust and debris off of the rubber rollers.
4. Close the back cover and reattach the rear access door.
5. Plug the power cord back in and power the unit up. It should reinitialize for about 20 seconds.
6. Print another extended self-test page.
After following these steps carefully, False Error message will be disappeared.
I hope this solution helps you

Reset printer

Please print printer settings configuration page. The page will explain the printer menus and change values. Menus are represented by Continue, Ready/Data, Toner Low and Load/Remove Paper light sequences. Menu Items and their values are indicated by Paper Jam and Error Light sequences

Here are the instructions to do that:

1. Turn off the printer.

2. Open the front access cover

3. Press and hold the red Stop button while powering up the printer.

4. The lights should cycle, release it when the light stops cycling.

5. Close the cover once the ! light displays

6. The lights should cycle again.

7. Then press the Continue button.

8. This should print a Printer Diagnostics page.

9. On the Printer diagnostic page, Use the Utilities menu to troubleshoot printer problems

- Return the printer settings to factory default values.

- Sometimes resetting the printer to the original settings solves formatting problems.

- All menu items are reset to the factory default values except:

- All settings in the Parallel menu, Network menu, and USB menu.

- All downloaded resources (fonts, macros, and symbol sets) in printer memory (RAM) are deleted.

- Resources in flash memory are unaffected.

10. Please locate the value that would say "Factory Defaults".

11. We would need to follow the exact light sequence that you see for the "Factory Defaults".

12. Press and release the Cancel button to advance through the menus and the menu items to the one we would need.

13. Press and hold the Continue button until all the lights cycle to save the function/value.

14. Restart the printer.
