Can kicker 1000x1 amp detect if my speaker is bad and turn itself off?

That can be a sign of a bad connection inside the amp.

Try wiring them in series.

bad amp. the blinking is an indication reading out a error code.

try bridging them , first check wires from amp to box or boxes connectors , then check wires inside the box or boxes , then check fuses on amp !

Faulty speaker wire. Dry joint in amp. Take speaker out & play with + & - wires on actual speaker to see if bad conection before cone

You could be having an amp overload condition. Make sure your speaker impedance matches the amp specification. Esp if you have bridged the Amp the impedance should be at least 4 Ohms and not below. When you connect two 4 Ohms speaker in parallel the total impedance becomes 2 Ohms !!!.

set up is the most common issue. running amps at 2 ohm or lower specialy when bridged.bad speaker speakers can be bad and still play. sagging b + from battery.overdrivin inputs.ther are so many things that could cause this it is usally the install not the amp or at least intill the amp smokes from this condition.if your amp shuts off due to over heating the way it is instaled must be fix or ill see you at my repair center with your burned up amp.by the way kicker is one of a few verry few companies that dont make junk so if your kicker amp is shutting off its most likely not the amps fault

it sounds like you have some wires crossed or a bad ground

sounds like a bad ground or power.

if the amp is powering on the sub and playing and then turns in to protect mode it could be the amp is getting hot and its kicking into protect so you wont fry the amp
