Hi, it sounds like the rubber behind the space bar is weak or stuck and in both case you have to replace the entire keyboard because it's not worth fixing it compared to the price of a new one.
Take care

Change keyboard mode. Not typing correct letters

Hold down the "code" key, the one to the left of the spacebar that says "CODE" on it, and hit the "L" key (the one that says (Lang) on it. Should be back to normal.

Standard manual corona typewriter: spacebar not working

There is an escapement type mechanism in the back of the typewriter, chances are, the escapement mechanism is out of movement or misaligned. Check the spacebar if something is caught underneath or over one of the linkages.

When I type a letter on keyboard it keeps repeating the letter

The key might be sticking down, which is probably a defect in the product. I tested an ihome keyboard (Bluetooth) and everything except the spacebar was prone to sticking itself down, no pop spill or nothing. So, I recommend to return the keyboard if you still have the receipt and get a Bluetooth Apple keyboard instead, as ihome is good for their docks, but their keyboards suck!

Everything works except for spacebar & key advance

The T/W is probably just gummy. Will it tab? If so the correction mech. is probably the trouble, if not try some WD40 on the silver shaft that the s

The keys will not type the letters they are labeled with.

Do you have the daisy wheel cartridge inserted correctly? The "ear" on the daisy wheel cartridge should always be on the upper right.

If that doesn't fix it .....Try doing a daisy wheel reset by Pressing [CODE] + [RESET]. This will properly index the daisy wheel.
