I have a playstation Model scph-75002 and I have just purchased Spyro Eternal Night whenI put it in my Playstation it told me I need a format disc where can I get one

the disc migh be scrached, check ur disc first, try putting an audio cd format disc and play the song,
so there is no problem with the lens

No on the usb also cant you just play audio cds on the ps2 unit it's self and for format a us region ps2 can play DVD, CD,blue disc and black discs with region code ntsc u/c

if it's a fat PS2 and
model SCPH 30001, SCPH 35001
(not including the models with an 'R' after the model #.

these models need the following to play DVDs:
- PS2 DVD remote with IR unit
- PS2 DVD disc player (sold with DVD remote w/ IR unit)
- PS2 memory card

you copied the DVD disc to the memory card. you used the memory card to play DVDs.

later models didn't need the memory card to play DVDs.

unlimted life seems like the cheat you need. Just hold L1 while playing then press: right, right, down, down, left. this will give you unlimited life and should help out. Also look up some cheats and walk throughs on Google, they always help

There were two versions of the multi-tap made; one for the original fat PS2 and a smaller version made for the slim. The two versions are incompatible with the other PS2. If you have the original multi-tap connected to the slim, it should throw out the 'controller disconnected' message when you boot up. The slim version of the multi-tap should have a sticker on the bottom saying 'only works with models SCPH-70000, SCPH-75001, SCPH-75002'.

Other than the sports games, I don't recall any titles that allow more than two players anyway.

You need to replace the laser. What model number is your PS2? It starts with SCPH-

Some PS2's have a problem with reading certain Blue disks. You have two options:
1. I believe that you can send it back to Sony to repair (they will make you pay for the shipping)
or
2. If the disc is just for install, you can put a little piece of tape on the inner ring(the tape will touch the top and bottom of the inner plastic ring) and it should read the disc.

I had this problem also years ago. The most steadfast way would be to send it back to be fixed.

Whats the SCPH model number? What appears on screen when you put a disc in? If it can read CD's but not DVD,s then this is a classic laser related problem, Possibly a dirty laser or syptoms of a worn laser that requires replacement.
