Is there a reset button on tv? tv went out in a thunderstorm last night and will not come back on.

Hi Anne,
It is not a case of reset. The power supply section of your TV is damaged in the thunder storm. It is a common thing happening to TVs. Yes, sometimes, if you are lucky you escape with small damage like fuse and a few safety components. Otherwise you may have to replace the entire power board. Please consult some local TV tech,
Good Luck.

HELP! I think my TV got zapped and is ruined from storm!

Check whether the power outlet has power. If it has, I suggest please do not attempt to switch on the TV, unless checked by a qualified service technician.

First check your power outlet, try connecting the TV to a different power outlet. Then see whether the LED light on the TV is on or blinking. Anyhow, this might need attention by a qualified service technician.

Turn the monitor off.
Unplug it from the AC power.
Reconnect it, turn it on, and see if it returns to "normal".
