Just like the human eye your camera has an electronic iris that automatically opens and closes to adjust to varying light levels. It appears that the internal light compensation circuit is stuck open. That is why you have a picture at night but not during the day - there is simply too much light entering the camera during the daytime. Try disconnecting the power from the camera for a minute or so and then repower back up. After several attempts if this does not work then you will need to replace the camera. One thing you do not mention is the type of lens on the camera. You will either have a standard lens that simply brings into focus the image or one with a cord that plugs into the camera. This type has a built-in auto iris feature which also controls incoming light levels. If your camera uses the standard lens (no cord) you may be able to purchase an auto iris type lens to compensate for the camera's malfunctioning internal circuitry. I have a Techview H.@64 Model 3036. Records during daylight hours but loses video recording at night?. Any ideas on how to enable the infrared recording at night? Marilyn

If you have IR capability make sure you have power to the camera as well as a video feed. There should be a tail at the camera that supports the power and a plug in for the other side.

Hi I have a night store heater model 79168 in my new home and no idea how to use it!! Please help :)

Here is a good article for Dimplex, a storage heater manufacturer, that explains the the theory and how it works. I'm sure you will find it interesting. http://www.dimplex.com/storage_heaters#

Basically, thermal storage heaters heat ceramic bricks during off peak hours (during the night), store the heat to be used during peak hours (during the daylight hours), when electricity is more expensive per kilowatt hour.

Hope this helps you.

Blurry white image when pics are taken during broad daylight

Try first to reset your camera. Press the menu button, go over to setup, go down to reset, press the right arrow, highlight reset and press set. Don't worry it won't erase any of the pictures on your memory card. If that doesn't work you can try and manually set the white balance on your camera and I would recommend sending it into repairs if that doesn't work since it's taking nighttime pictures fine. :)

LCD and Viewfinder just blank in daylight but working well when indoors or anywhere during night

yes i did have this problem too. sadly i could not figure it out either so i traded with a friend. he found out the problem. he said you have to just leave the camcorder on playback and just let it sit there for about 3 minutes to warm up.
