Night football pictures

Hi...I take pictures for my son's football team and even if I'm down on the side line, my pictures seem to be blurry. The baseball pictures I take during daylight hours are fine. I don't know if it has something to do with the "fake" light or what. Someone told me to increase the apature (spelled wrong I'm sure) and the shutter speed but I do not know how. Please please help :-(

If u r taking in low light situation, u pls change ur photo mode to Night mode.. But while u change it to Night mode, take extra care not to shake even a little.. If u do so.. u will blur ur photo..
Best of luck..

In night mode.. u try it by taking photo without even 0% shake..

Then test ur photo.. if its ok.. then its not prob with ur camera...

I have a olympus camera.. which doesnt comes well in low light, if i change to night mode it comes blurred.. as ven slight shaking.. blurs the photo.,, :(

The flash is only good up to 10 feet....are you that close? If not, turn off the flash and turn up the ISO to make the camera more sensitive to the lower light levels.

Watching a football game picture is very unclear

The noise reduction option will cause a blur on fast movement. Also, you probably already know this, but a standard definition broadcast will look very blurry on an HD TV, so make sure the channel you're watching is actually an HD channel.

Oh, wow, I just noticed that this is from October. Oh well, maybe you're still having problems.

What settings should I use for my Nikon d60 with a 70-300mm lens to take picures of a night time football game? When the sun goes down, my camera slows and the pictures get blurry.

Set the ISO as high as it will go and the aperture as low as possible. That is as good as it gets without investing a lot of money in pro cameras and lenses that are needed to shoot action in low light. I have a D300 and a 70-200mm f2.8 lens that together cost almost $4000 and it can barely do it. How bad do you want pictures?

Fuzzy pictures

The blurry pictures are due to movement. Sometimes adjusting the flash helps.

Blurred football pictures

low light means the shutter stays open longer to capture the image.   Try changing exposure settings.
