When I started a washer load this morning, all dial flashed and then went off, machine didn't start. I briefly saw an LF or LE flash, but it went off quickly. I inherited this machine from my son when he moved with no manual. I've been using it for a couple years with no prior problems. whirlpool calypso

Unbalanced Load

If uL (unbalanced load) appears in display, the load is out of balance. The washer is running a load-balance correction routine. Allow the washer to continue. If the dial is flashing and the washer has stopped, redistribute the load, close the lid, and press START/PAUSE.Dec. 14, 2019

LF flashes when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on OR water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change.
Is water supply connected and turned on?
Are hose screens plugged?
Is water entering the tub? If so check pressure hose connection to machine/motor control.

In new installations, this error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.

Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

OVER SUDDSING

LF (F30)
LF flashes when the control don't sense any water coming in like it is supposed to do. Things to check:
Hoses connected; water turned wide open.
Hose screens plugged.
Is water siphoning out due to having the drain hose too low? (30 inches above the floor)
Pressure hose from tub to control loose, pinched, hole, Sediment in tub? Blow that tubing out and re-secure; retry with water OUT of tub so the pressure can properly build in that tubing.

Hi,
LF means that it is taking too long to fill. (If the water fill time exceeds ten minutes, the water valves are turned off and LF is flashed.)

Supply hoses could be kinked or clogged(some have screens in the end).
This could be a supply water pressure/flow problem. Make sure you have good water flow though the hoses to the machine. (Take off and try running into a bucket)
The water fill valve may be failing to open all the way or it could be clogged.

the Dreaded LF code means
LF Long fill If the water fill time exceeds ten minutes, the water valves are turned off and "LF" is flashed.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
check the water controle inlet valves that are attached to the machine for proper operation and replace if found bad

LE code is overload on motor. This unit actually has a magneto and stator. This is what needs to be replaced. Usually find a magnet cracked.
