Yes it should, as it supports JPEG file playback.
Create a folder on your desktop, drag and drop the photos you want onto it and then burn the folder onto a CD-R.
Alternatively, most Photo software allows you to create a CD from your photo collection.
Photos must be in the JPEG format (pretty much the default and most common file format used for photos).
It seems that the image format is not supported by the Player. The Player supports only JPEG files. If the images are already in JPEG format, it seems that the issue is with the disc. You may copy the images to the Computer burn them to a new CD or DVD to check if that helps.
If the images are not in JPEG format, then you may convert the images to supported format using any convertion Software.
If the issue persists, then you may reset the Player by pressing STOP and POWER button at the same time when the Player is ON. This should resolve the issue.

If you are using the DVDR 3380 is recorded video to then upload to your PC the best program is TMPGEnc v4.0 Xpress it has its own function to scan source media from a DVDR, if you use +R or + RW media you don't even have to finalise it. I have never had any problems with SONY and PHILLIPS media, generally speaking cheap unbranded media will have a higher failure rate , but you do get what you pay for when optical media is concerned.
The image when recorded in the camera is known as JPEG[EXIF} The EXIF bit is all the essential data the camera recorded about the camera [make model] exposure detail and much else. When the computer gets the images - it does not know about or need EXIF so it ignores it. Thus the images becomes a plain JPEG. Cameras cannot read plain JPEG. There are ways and means of 'restoring'[fudging to fool the camera] but in reality is it worth it? However if you want to try down load and learn to use Irfanview[Its free - simply type 'Irfanview' in your browser.
I know what you mean i also have a red dot when recording. When i hold it in a particuler angle it shows up. When playing the movie and even when i upload it on pc i still see the red dot.

The jpeg images will have to be resized using PhotoShop or another image editing program in either a 4 to 3 proportion, or a 16 to 9 proportion - whichever format you want to stick with. Then reburn the images to disc.
First check that in your user manual that the dvd player is JPEG compatible. When you say you are having the problem on other DVD's do you mean when you use DVD+R and DVD-R disks on your own player or that yu have tried to play the same DVD disk on other brand DVD players without success?
You dont mention which software you are using to save your JPEG's to Disk or whether you can in fact view them on your PC. After making sure that your Windows media player displays your pictures ok, Try using the NERO dvd burning Rom programme to load your JPEG's.
I am assuming that you are not trying to record a DVD in a CD burning drive?
