For this camera you do not need the software installed either for xp or vista ...It is a Panasonic camera and is will be seen right the way ...just insert the data cable and select from the camera the pc (not tv ) ..and you will find the card in the my computer folder as a removable device ..or better will pop up and ask for an action ...
The software from the disk are just a few programs and the instructions ...some importer and a manager...thats all and they are probably for Xp made and are not suitable for vista ..So use any other photo manager you habe into the computer ..and just connect thecamera directly ..and will be seen ..
In worse case you can use a card reader to get the data from the card directly and copy them ..
Im sure that will work cause I have a Lumix..another similar model and I never used my driver s..just plug and use..

I have lost my installation Disc for my Lumix DMC Zr1 - how can I dowload another one?

You don't really need it. Pros never use the camera to computer connection for downloading pics. They use a card reader and download to a folder they create on the desktop. Once there, the pics can be sent to any program you want.

Panasonic DMC-ZR1 has foreign object inside lens. Can I open camera and use compressed air to clear this out? Shows on zoom.

The practical answer is that you can't open the camera and use compressed air. The real answer is..."sure....open it up and grab that can of compressed air. Just don't be surprised or upset when you put the camera back together and it no longer works. But the experience will be fun." If the foreign object doesn't actually appear on the pictures, don't worry about it. All lenses have stuff and dust inside. It will move around as time passes.

Hi Depends on which PC software you have! If you just plug into your usb port, PC will find drivers for you! No need for disc! If not you can download off internet! just type in camera name & model \ software - drivers etc on search engine! Hope this helps!
