Clean the hopper. After unplugging the grinder, remove the bean hopper and empty it of any coffee beans
, Remove all the pieces , Take out the inner burr , Scrub with a brush , Wipe down the burrs , Clean the coffee chute and Let it dry.
Hi
With the bean hopper on, turn the grinder upside down. Rotate the bean hopper to loosen any grounds that might be holding the burr holder. Now remove the bean hopper and try again to remove the holder. Only the outer burr comes off, this way.
If this is in reference to the Pasquini K2 Moka Grinder, they are pretty much maintence free. Remove the beans/hopper, then pushing the button on left hand side down, you can unscrew the dial counter-clockwise. This will give you access to the top/bottom mills. Use a wire brush the machine came with to clean the coffee off from the mills teeth which builds up over time. Then reassumble and readjust your grind for the beans you are using.
My experience is working over 10 years at Pasquini as a master technician running the home repair sales and service center.
I stock all Pasquini parts for any service of your Pasquini espresso machines and grinders. Contact us for any of your Pasquini sales and service needs.
Rotate the bean hopper counter clockwise until it stops. Lift it off. Remove the outer burr with the 2 wings and clean under the burr. Clean the opening going to the chute for ground coffee(inside where the burr was). Install the outer burr. Install the bean hopper. Rotate the bean hopper to the French press grind (coarsest) and operate the grinder. This will clean the burrs and the passages. If it starts to clog, repeat the last part to clean the burrs and passage. It must be grinding to go to a finer setting, but you can go to a coarser setting any time. Another thing. Turn the grinder upside down (empty) and rotate the bean hopper back and forth to clean the threads of the adjusting burr..
Hi Rotate the bean hopper counter clockwise until it stops. Lift the bean hopper out. Remove the outer burr with the wing-lets. Can go back in either way. Clean with air or vacuum out grounds. Use small brush to help clean grounds. Reinstall burr. Line up notches of the bean hopper with shell ( large tab in large slot, and small tab in small slot). Rotate bean hopper clockwise a small amount and test.
I've been having the same problem. I would clean out the burrs and it would get clogged right away. But I found that at the top of the chute where the coffee comes out that there's a flap type device. Mine was clogged with coffee. When I unclogged it it would swing freely. That seems to have helped. You need to use a skewer or long toothpick to clean it and free it. Use a flashlight to see the flap. It looks like it has a weight attached to it and probably swings back and forth as the coffee is ground.
Possible that you installed something incorrectly but I don't think so. It sounds like you're not after the right problem. My guess would be that some bean shards got into the motor or some other place. Most of the motors used on these machines are geared down so that they make more torque and lower speed. Thus...the motor itself is actually quite weak. That's why it is jamming.
What I would start with: take the unit apart as much as you can...by taking out the burr, the receiver cup and all that. Turn the unit over and tap it onto a newspaper covered table with some bit of force. Do it a couple of times. That may fix it. If not, you'll have to disassemble it and find the item jamming it up. Be sure the unit is unplugged when handling it. It is possible that some of the screws are non-tamper. You can get the right bits at the hardware store. Be sure to tighten all screws when you're done.
