Pasquini Livia 90 Espresso Machine Logo

I have a six plus year old Livia 90 Semi Automatic. It builds up pressure and then releases through the release valve, sometimes every 10 minutes, sometimes not for a couple of hours. Always quite a surprise! Where is this PStat valve that can be adjusted and how can I get an electronic version of the manual? I have emailed Pasquini. If someone is qualified individual, I will certainly pay for some help if it is warranted.

This is a simple fix. This has been fixed on newer units with a rewire kit. This rewire kit is for Pasquini Livia 90’s with serial numbers PRIOR to #49000. We have them listed on our website Part# 90000 for $30.00.
You can contact me for this part - If you are local we could install it for you. If you do not fix this problem soon, you will need a new pressure release valve. It would also be advised you get a microswitch #7633905 for $13 at same time as the rewire kit. If you still require a manual we could provide you with a digital version.

My experience is working over 10 years at Pasquini as a master technician running the home repair sales and service center.

I stock all Pasquini parts for any service of your Pasquini espresso machines and grinders. Contact us for any of your Pasquini sales and service needs.

Machine shuts off after a minutes

It sounds as though the steam being released with the valve a little loose allows some exhaust. When it is tighten up there is a sensor on them that will shut it off automatically for safety reasons. more than likely that sensor is broke or there is some type of clog cause there to be to much pressure and heat which in turn trips the sensor and shuts it off

Pasquini Livia 90: heats up for about 5 minutes, then shuts off

Sounds like the pressure switch is not working properly and the safety is turning the machine off. Try checking the tube from the boiler to the pressure switch that might be blocked, if not then the pressure switch needs to be replaced.

The pressure is not released when the brewing is complete through the nozzle.

Hi
Your 3 way valve is probably dirty with coffee oils and residue. You may have to replace the 3 way valve. You should do a backflush cleaning with a detergent a couple times a year to prevent this from happening.

The machine does not produce water and makes loud ticking noise- pressure gauge spikes and release valve blows. What do you think is causing that-

Hi
That sounds like a couple of problems. For one the pressurestat is sticking and causing the pressure relief valve to release steam pressure. The second one is your probes are getting scaled and causing eratic water level senseing. They need to be cleaned. Replace the pressurestat first.

I have a Livia 90S - about 4 years old. Recently the backflush doesn't seem to be working. When I use the blank to clean after making coffee, the Pasquini used to change sound after a few seconds and...

HI When you back flush do you use a detergent for espresso machines? If you don't your 3 way valve might be stuck with coffee oil residue. You might also have a bad 3 way valve.

My Livia 90 dosn't build pressure

Clean out the shower screen and the diffuser under the grouphead, turn the head on without the screen and diffuser, if water flows strongly then the problem was in the diffuser and screen, if you have no flow, then the line to the haed is clogged.

Pasquini. Livia 90 intermittently building up too much pressure

The part that will solve your problem is an upgraded heating rewire kit which will control pressure electronically, not manually. The rewire kit is Part #90000, $28

You may also need a new micro switch which is connected to your PStat with the rewire kit. The micro switch part #7633905, $13

These parts are in stock. I can send you these parts and instructions to install these parts in your machine.

Tooo much pressure

If you remove the top panel on the machine there is a pressure stat on the right side, with 2 wire connections going to it. That P.stat could be damaged and needs to be replaced, or the pipe to the P.stat is clogged and it cannot read the boiler pressure.

Livia 90 semi auto

I got hold of Pasquini directly and they most graciously talked me through it, admitting the instructions assumed more knowledge than average.  In other words it was a polite way to tell me not to quit MY day job!
