Hi
there are a couple things you might try. There is a screw in the top of the pressurestat. Turn the screw counter clockwise to lower the pressure.
The light should go off just before the 11:30 position on the gauge.
There are 2 probes on top of the boiler that needs cleaning every so often. A yellow and a green wire connect to the top of the probes. Loosen the small nut about 2 turns or all the way out.
Then pull on the probes to remove then. Sometimes it comes out with the white seal. that is OK. Clean the bottom of the probes and then reinstall.
Yellow goes on the left and green on the right.
Testimonial: "Bansheracer - Thanks for the help. Last night I did adjust the PSTAT screw and (amazingly) have achieved the setting you recommended. This did not have any affect on the shut down issue - it just shuts down at a lower pressure! I will be going out now to do the probe cleaning and will let you know the outcome. By the way I have done a bit more troubleshooting. When starting the machine from completely cold, shut down will occur after about 2 minutes with relatively little temperature and pressure increase as indicated by the gauge. When I immediately restart, it comes up to temp/pressure and will eventually shut down (on the order of minutes). following shut down, all three touch pad indicator lights are blinking. As long as I keep water periodically flowing thru the system - flushing, back-flushing, or making espresso (my favorite, by the way) - it does not shut down. In the meantime - I will do a bit of probing ;-)."
Hi
If it is shutting down with little heat, check you vacuum breaker on the top front of the boiler. This lets air in when the machine cools down. If it sticks, then it traps pressure and when it first starts to heat it will build enough pressure to shut off the pressure stat, and heat no more until the pressure drops. If you open the steam valve and relieve pressure it should heat normally. more than likely you vacuum breaker needs cleaning or replacement.

Actually the problem could be from a few problems. I need to know if the lights are blinking once every second, or twice every second. Once every second means a resovouir problem such as type of water being used, calcium build up, or a loose nut & bolt. Twice every second indicates a boiler problem resulting from the copper feed pipe is not filling properly. Lastly it could be your CPU. Do you still repair these machines?
I just had Tyler do a repair for me. He is great to work with, and quick to turn it around. If you need to ship the whole machine to him, Pasquini will make a foamed shipping box specifically for the machine you have.
