The ice solenoid located behind the control for the water and ice has gone bad. Inexpensive to replace. Thanks.
yes I do. The only other thing would be the auger motor freezing up but 1 way to check the solenoid is to remove the ice bucket from freezer. With the door open depress the door switch and press for ice at the same time and see if the ice chute door is opening for you and closing. If it is go for the auger motor but do this test first.
Hi:
Where is the "ice chute door" is located at adn do you have any diagram or pictures? I am trying to test the solenoid to see if it needs to be replaced.
Thanks

Hi: Thanks for your comments. Ice cubes are producing fine, and water comes through the door just fine. But no ice dispenses from the ice dispenser. It seems the motor has a hard time turning. Do you still think it is the bad Ice Solenoid.
Thanks
The " ice solenoid " is refering to the door flap solenoid which opens the door flap to let ice drop thru the door .
Hi:
Is the "ice solenoid" located in the freezer door panel or in the back side of the refrigerator where the ice is produced? Can it be changed from outside by removing the exterior cover of the dispenser (where the water/ dispenses) or should the inner cover of the freezer door be removed. Thanks
