Problem solved. With the set plugged in(but in stand by mode) I took the back off. There are two LED on the left board that, if on, identify a problem. The D111 LED was on. I traced it to a blown fuse-FU303 which is the center fuse, about the middle of the center circuit board. I tried replacing the fuse 3 times, after each, it would blow. Another chat section on your site suggested using a 5a(up from 4a) fuse; that fixed the problem. The set works great. Your IC fix worked fine, although getting the boards out  was quite a chore. Your link to the instructions on how to R/R the IC chips was invaluable, and the set of instructions on the process was very complete and well done. Thanks for all of your help!

you need to replace both because they are both linked together with the green as each IC controls one color fully and half the green, so when one IC fails that places a strain on the other IC through the green, so that one will soon follow. You need two STK392-120 ICs and you will also need four 6.8 ohm 1 watt resistors. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link with free installation instructions with pictures so you can do the repair yourself. Heres the link.

Its recomended to replace both at the same time as each IC controls one color and half the green so when one goes out the gree tends to weaken the other. You can get them with free instructions at the following link.

Yes the STK 392-150 is a better quality IC. You will need to replace both of them. Also if you purchase the ICs from the link i am posting they provide free instalation instructions with pictures and also have free insatant messageing tech available which is completely free.
